I love to read Amish stories and to learn of their way of life and culture. This novel was very well written and is descriptive of Susanna’s dilemma to choose between the Amish and the Englisha worlds. It is very thought provoking.
Many thanks to Harvest House Publishers and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thanks to Jerry S. Eicher and Harvest House Publishers for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first Amish fiction I've read, and it was fantastic. The second book, but I read it first - will definitely be reading the first one.

one of those wonderful book that can be read as the series or as a standalone, which ever one the reader prefers -which i always love since not everyone is a serial reader!

there is not really anything to say about this other than its a lovely written and told story, exactly what you expect and want out of an amish romance!

Until I Love Again is just OK. Although this was the second book in a series, you can read it alone. I found the story unrealistic at times, and a bit rough around the edges. It is lacking the fun, softness, and polish of many of the other Amish fiction authors.

The story of Susanna is somewhat typical with one foot in the English world, and one in the Amish. However, it was a bit unrealistic (and creepy) that an old widower Ernest may push his way to becoming Susanna's husband. The ending was ok, but again, there are better choices out there. I have read several of Jerry Eicher's books, and he is not one my favorite Amish fiction writers. This book was no exception. It was hard to get through.

Being my first Jerry S. Eicher book, I was drawn in quickly although it was a tad different from other Amish books I have previously read. The Amish community in this novel is from New York and seem more strict on some of their beliefs but a very forgiving community.

I couldn't help but fall in love with Susanna right away. Her gentleness and spunk made me cheer for her. You can tell she'd make a great friend.

The pace of the novel was excellent. Eicher was able to speed the story up at just the perfect time and tied up all lose ends by the ending.

I have already purchased more of his books to read in the future.
