Wanderlust is a new adult contemporary romance by author Roni Loren. This book is a little bit outside of my typical read. Yes, I know at first glance it looks like so many of the other books I read- new adult contemporary romances. I love them and I read a ton of them, but I don't typically read rock star or boy in a band tropes in my romances. They just don't feel all that realistic to me most of the time. But something about Wanderlust drew me in. I'm glad that I did decide to read this one because the story did not feel unrealistic to me. I liked the characters and I liked their romance.

In wanderlust we meet our main characters Aubrey and Lex. Lex is the lead singer in a band and Aubrey is the lucky lady that gets pulled on stage as part of their act. Lex and Aubrey had instant sparks. I wouldn't say it was insta love, but it certainly seemed like insta lust. I was digging their chemistry. I loved Aubrey and I liked Lex well enough, but the whole rocker vibe doesn't really do it for me.

Their story was a lot of fun. I liked watching them challenge and push one another in various ways. I can see their attraction for one another. I think this book will really appeal to fans of the rockstar trope. For me it was just an ok book, but I think for the right readers this will be a smash hit!

I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.

As expected of Roni Loren -- a gorgeous romance with a heavy serving of steam. It's always refreshing to read something outside of her Loving on the Edge books, and this one did not disappoint. Loved it.
