Whiskey Words & a Shovel II

Overall a solid read, more of a 3.5 but closer to a 4 star. Some of the poems here seen to drag, and others seem to be sort of repitious.

I did enjoy most of the poems here, some of them hit home.

"I'd kill the distance
to get to you"

and possibly my favorite,
"some people only exist
as examples of what to avoid"

Sometimes we find poems in the right time of our lives. Collectively this book was a great read I went through it quickly and re-read it twice since. A few stand out in the best way.
