I really enjoyed the first book; lots of action and I loved the deep love connection, so I was excited to read this one. This book features the story of Kylie’s (heroine from the 1st book) sister, Madelyn, and Declan. This book takes place around the same time as the first. If you’ve read the first book you’ll know who Declan is and why he’s so mysterious, and what is up with Kylie disappearing. If you haven’t, you’ll be like Madelyn and be totally in the dark about what in the heck is going on. Madelyn is in danger because of something to do with her sister, so she needs to get away from town. Madelyn and Declan had a sweet moment before he helped her skip town, but then they part ways. There’s still dangerous people after her though and when she ends up in a situation, Declan is there for her. Unfortunately for Madelyn, he has some ulterior motives, but they can’t deny the pull between them.

The story is entertaining and kept me reading. I preferred the first book, but still really enjoyed this. Declan does some things that are over the top, but I love that he’s so protective of Madelyn. He’s rough around the edges, but there’s a heart in there. I liked Madelyn, but her innocence thing comes across as idiocy sometimes. Or rather, lack of common sense. Loved the connection between them; would’ve liked a bit more sweetness times, but they have good passion.

The overall story is interesting; action and suspense and hot romance. I would’ve liked a bit more to the ending, but there is a 3rd book with a different couple, so there’s more to be had. Looking forward to it.

This book was sexy and entertaining. It had good character development and was a fast enjoyable read.

Good but not great. Not engaging enough for me even though I did finish it. It could be my mood but this one was not a favorite.

Okay, so this was hot ... and sexy ... and seriously action packed LOL And all of those things were perfectly executed in the story! I had more than one hot flash moment while reading this book! LOL

Suspenseful, action packed book with lots of twists and turns. Well written and definitely a page turner.

Wow, this book blew me away. The narrative is cute and normal. By that, I mean, it doesn't feel forced to make the book good. It was thoughts and actions, and words, that I would find myself doing, saying, thinking. "Then, God love him, he licks his lips."
Seeing Diego 'visit' us in this book was great! I'm already a Diego fan! The first book in this series, I felt had too much 'backstory' built in that drug it down. This one was action packed, witty, fun, sexy, every positive adjective you can come up with!

With romantic, ovary squeezing, excitement enticing lines, like these:
"I can't let you go."
"I lied for you, Madelyn," he whispers. "And there's a goddamn good chance, I'll die for you too."
How can you NOT want to read this?! Declan is a man who, in the real world, doesn't exist. But that's why this is a romance novel, right? I'm just saying, this book was go amazing, why are you not going to buy it yet? MUST READ
