I requested this book thinking that it was the book a not just a sample. I must say, I wasn’t disappointed that it was just a sample. The book sounded better than what I enjoyed. For me, I didn’t like the characters or the story. Let me be clear in saying there was nothing wrong with the book it just wasn’t for me.

It has a strong start, grabs your attention from the beginning. The reader does not know what's going on as the protagonist herself is also confused, which makes you want to read more. It is written in first person singular and in present tense. I do not mind the first person, but I prefer books written in the past tense. Other than that the excerpt was good.
