I liked it but I' needed more. The characters are good but I needed more action in the history. This book is about know another person and fall in love with him but It was a little bored. Whatever, if you like this type of book you are going to enjoy it.
I really enjoyed the book, it has everything I love in a novel from start to finish. I can’t wait to read what the author has planned next!
***Let's get this out of the way: I met my partner on the street playing Pokemon Go right after we had both had given up on life. We spent the night walking the city, saw the sunrise on the beach. He moved in two days later. This book legitimately felt like the author had been there that night with us. More than once a character word for word said something we said. I have FEELINGS about this book. /endrant
"In a way, his humor had become my lifeline. My way to cope with the strong attachment to him I was already beginning to feel. My way to not be serious and think I loved him before I really loved him."
From start to finish Dorothy and Arash are believable, compassionate characters. What I found so compelling about them was how willing they were to connect and learn from other people, not just each other. The story was written mostly dialogue to build their connections, and the setting was a somewhat scenic backdrop to the real entertainment. It felt real to see them fall in love, to hear them talk about the people they cared about, and for them to have a happy ending. Some people might have found the story a little cliche', but just as Dorothy says (and I might add, myself) "Cliches are cliches for a reason. They're repeated so much because they usually hit on the truth."
That's what this story did, hit on a happy truth. That love may meet in different ways, but all love is real.
