Excellent premises for a book that gets a little lose, scattering here and there facts and events whose explanation is a bit precarious and highly implausible. Sometimes you can almost hear the author to ask himself: "Oh my God, how did I get here? Now what I write to give some coherence to the whole thing?" But that does not always succeeds.
A pity, because in many ways the book reads willingly.

The writing was compelling and the plot was definitely well thought but it wasn't for me.
I wasn't a fan of the incestuous relationships but what made me give this rating was the fact that I didn't connect with the characters.
