I think I'm the wrong audience for this book. I object to the language; it's changed what Malory actually says in ways that are wince-worthy. The prose is clunky. I think Ackroyd has done a disservice to readers. This isn't Malory. This isn't even a paraphrase of Malory. Steinbeck's truncated bowdlerized text was actually better.
I'm don't think I'm going to review this; I can't find anything good to say about it.
