Gorgeous images. Engaging and direct content. Overall, great inspiration for garden enthusiasts. Looking forward to recommending this book.
This is a lovely book full of great photos, its not your normal gardening book as I doubt that many people would have the space needed to recreate what is covered inside in its entirety, but even taking that in to account its an easy read, good for inspiration and 4 stars overall.
A great resource for anyone with a small yard and a whole lot of money - seriously, who has the money to have a sauna in their garden? Either way, the designs were lovely but not practical for all gardens.
I had not heard of Gardenista before reviewing this book, but I definitely think Gardenista captures a unique style. The projects tend to show urban homes with very refined tastes in highly fashionable areas. The color palettes were muted and sophisticated. The gardening products were very high quality and reflected professional design insight. The DIY suggestions were unique and creative.
Gardenista: The Definitive Guide to Stylish Outdoor Spaces, by Michelle Slatalla is an ideal starting point guide, as well as an informative manual, for those interested in gardens and outdoor living spaces.
According to the book summary, "Gardenista caters to an older, more established audience (75 percent of readers are over the age of 35) and is known for its sophisticated, well-edited aesthetic. With over 500 color photographs, Gardenista is a helpful guide that geared towards adults over the age of 35, and it's especially recommended for those interested in gardening and outdoor living spaces.
