If you can let go of the hero's surprising vulgar mouth and his excessive use of the word tits and the fact that circumstances force our (now) happy couple to be together in a carriage for an inappropriate amount of time which made me forget that I was reading a historical novella, you will like this story. I can say that enjoyed the story. It might have been short, but I got my daily dose of romance. I want to get to know the people we met in this short time. I have a feeling their stories will be very interesting. There is a story in the beginning of each chapter which is another version of the princess and the pea. At first, I wasn't aware of that, but later things became clearer. It reflects on Hippolyta and Matthew's story. The book was a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours of my life. The characters had good personalities and a story to tell.

First, I give you some juicy tidbits, I must say...What a delectable story!!! It's hard to find authors that rival my favorites, but, Elizabeth Hoyt has done it! Hippolyta Royle is feisty, stubborn and everything that a romance reader wants the heroine to be! And goodness, Matthew Mortimer is funny and sensual! Did I mention delectable?! Oh ok...just checking. This story follows Hippolyta through a wet and muddy start toward a steamy and surprising ending. She has many decisions to make on the journey and a heart-stealing rogue to conquer and prove her identity too.  The journey they take together is filled with excitement, romance, and danger. But together they make one heck of a team.  I loved this book from start to finish and can't wait to read more from this author! I absolutely recommend this book... Or I could keep this treasure to meself! Just joking, enjoy this steamy rendezvous, romance lovers, I know I did.

This was a quick, very enjoyable read. After reading Duke of Sin, of course we want to find out what happened to Hippolyta!

Luckily she finds someone along the road to help her, but he doesn't believe she is who she says she is. This of course causes many problems along the way.

Definitely one to read for fans of the Maiden Lane series! Next up is the Duke of Kyle and our favorite urchin, Alf!!
