This is the second book in the series. Allie and her friends are recovering from the battle at the end of the first book and are learning more about their powers and positions. Allie knows that in order to return home, she must find the remaining 2 artifacts, but she is torn between her old word and the kingdom she is now responsible for. When her nemesis returns, with a new ally at his side, Allie and her allies must again fight to save their lives and rally together to keep hope alive. The responsibility of her position weighs heavily on her, but she must keep going to make the sacrifices of those around her have meaning. It will be interesting to see how the series will pan out in the third and final book.
