I admit to being a fan of this series. As usual, Perry has written a complex mystery for William Monk to solve. I like Monk, I like his wife Hester, I like the whole shebang. Don't worry if you haven't read other books in the series- there's enough back story to catch you up (but not too much for those who have). Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Edge of your seat. Can't put it down until the end. Interesting and intriguing characters. Liked the story flow. Twists and turns that keep you guessing! Would recommend!

I loved this amazing book. There is not a Anne Perry that I would not read.. I was enveloped from start to finish and couldn’t put it down. There were definitely moments that I didn’t see come which kept me engaged in the story.

I received an ARC of this book thanks to the publisher and Net Galley. Honestly I love Anne Perry, especially her Thomas and Charlotte Pitt series. Having said that I have struggled with her Monk series and sadly this was no exception. I did enjoy it but it was more of a struggle for me....took me forever to read it. Not sure what it is about the Hester Monk series but I definitely am more a fan of the Charlotte and Thomas Pitt novels.
