I don’t even know what to SAY about this. It was just. So. Cringe-worthy. Aghhhhh! The main character is a young teenage boy. Who has not yet encountered puberty yet. But is very much hoping to. It was told very much like middle grade, but it had more “mature” (or should I say immature) jokes. It was so uncomfortable and cringe-y and annoying. Eugh.

I wanted to like this one. I enjoy books about awkward preteens especially when their awkward behavior leads to humor and hijinks. I don't like when their awkwardness leads them to lies, embarrassment, and mistreating the people they care about which seems to be the basis for thsi book. Rather than befuddled charm, this book is built on cringe-worthy behavior and overly graphic language.
