Overall, this is an interesting topic and the book seems to provide plenty of evidence of the bad things in our food. However, I don't know that this is a new idea, although perhaps a popular topic when it was published. I also thought the author was a little too sensationalist, as sometimes happens in the media. All in all, I would call this book "okay."
I would give this book twenty stars if I could!!! Mike Adams tells what substances are harmful to our health, how and why they are harmful, where they can be found, and how to avoid them. He explains the science behind all of this in clear and simple terms. The book strikes a very good balance -- technical enough to teach something new to someone who already knows a lot about health, but simple enough to be interesting to a casual reader who doesn't know much yet. I highly recommend it!!!
