There is so much action in this book that I was exhausted by the end. It is very fast paced and a page turner. I loved the author’s writing style and look forward to reading more of his work.
Many thanks to Thomas & Mercer and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is an exciting, suspenseful and gripping story. The characters are intense and interesting. It's a book that you can't put down once you start reading it, even through the few slow parts.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley. This is my voluntary and honest opinion of it.

A great bridge linking the unknown from the first book. I don't like sequels because there tends to be such a drop off but not here. If you liked the first one you will LOVE this one. Enjoy

I struggled with this one not because it isn't well written but because it felt like filling between books 1 and 3
This continues on where book 1 (The Angel) left off, I really enjoyed book 1 as it was fast paced lots going on although I hadn't been prepared for quite a cliffhanger at the end so I was keen to continue reading this story to continue this plot. Whereas this author in the past has had different cases followed by the same character this is one plot over 3 books....book 2 doesn't end in as much of a cliffhanger as book 1 did but it still leaves lots unanswered to keep you reading on to book 3 and adds in a twist to propel the story forward into the remaining book.
I think this should be more marketed as a set than three separate books as you really need all three books for the full story.
