Nick Wilde, back at his family cherry orchard to help his dad and stepmom while they're on vacation, runs into the woman he's been smitten with since he was a kid. He's been a love 'em and leave 'em guy his whole professional bull riding career and can't see that changing. He's out for a good time, or has he just been waiting for the right person?
Harper Stone, an ex-military helicopter pilot, has a helicopter, a broken heart and feels responsible for her husbands death, so she takes chances with her own life, and doesn't want to participate in really living or loving. She feels like she's had her one and forever true love and doesn't deserve anything else.
The emotional intensity of this book is wonderful. Sometimes touching and sometimes just fun! Can they leave their pasts and move forward together?
Ms. Law has given us a great story for book #2 of The Wildes of Birch Bay series. It is completely a stand alone if you haven't read Montana Cherries, but you'll want to go back and GET book #1 if you don't have it yet!
I enjoyed this book even though at times it was sad.Nick was a man who wasn't sure what he wanted and Harper was no better. She was grieving over her husbands death but would not let Nick get close. Luckily love won and it did have a happy ending.
A series with heart: these two wounded souls needed to rescue each other. Kim Law excels in telling stories where your heart gets broken and then healed. Great read.
Damn Nick Wilde!!! I am so ready to move to Montana!
Anyway I loved this second chance romance about this championship bull rider and this helicopter pilot. A badass heroine, too stubborn and fierce for her own good while the hero is so charming and hot as hell! Thrown in the mix some great endearing second characters and a beautiful scenery place.
Swoony, hot and romantic!! I'm a Montana girl now!
Can't wait to read the other books of this promising series.
Once again Kim Law has done it. Another wonderfully written story that you don't want to put down till you know the final outcome (curse you need for sleep, sorry kids - mom is busy!).
I really wasn't sure which Wilde brother would get their story first, but definitely didn't think it would be Nick. Nick is a bull rider whom lives for the thrill of the ride. Harper is an old crush who lives her life seeking thrills. Together they start to heal each other. If you read book 1, you already know about Nick's family history. But you see it from Nick's view this time around, so it's not as repetitious as it could be. Harper has her own share of heartache as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. And I am thankful that I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.
I was delighted by the characters and setting in Montana Rescue. A handsome bull rider, Nick, part of a large family returns home, temporarily, to manage the family orchard business while his father and new stepmother take a long-needed vacation. Before even taking up his duties, he reconnects with the girl of his teenage dreams, Harper, now widowed, who has also returned home after years away, and is helping her younger sister out with her business of providing the bucking bull stock to the Montana Pro Rodeo circuit (where Nick competes.) What follows is the story of how their relationship evolves and how they come to terms with their pasts. It is a sexy, contemporary romance with two strong characters that totally melt when dealing with each other. It is also a story of healing and forgiveness – forgiving oneself and moving on. The setting in Montana was of interest to me. I’ve never been there but it sounds lovely and wild. Also, I enjoyed seeing this side of the workings of rodeo – that was a little different angle than I’ve seen before. This is the second book in a series about the large Wilde family but it stands on its own – you wouldn’t have to read the first book, Montana Cherries (although I liked it, too) to enjoy this one.

Good romance and nice start to a new series. Harper Sloane and Nick Wild were characters that I liked. I enjoyed their romance, and thought the dialogue between them was good. The storyline moved along at a nice pace and kept my interest. I loved the Montana setting.
I've read several books by Kim Law and I can honestly say she seems to get better with each book. Law brings together two characters who have deep emotional scars. They help each other to a degree, but they each are mostly responsible for their own self-discovery and taking the first steps toward healing themselves. I absolutely loved that!
The Wilde siblings were all deeply affected by their mother. She wasn't a very stable person, to say the least. Nick is a very successful rodeo bull rider. He definitely shies away from any deep relationships. In this story, he returns home to the family cherry orchard to help out and discovers he was gone way too long. The homestead seems to call to him.
The woman who he had a crush on when he was growing up calls to him even more. Harper was always unique and still is. She's a helicopter pilot with blue hair. She is mourning the love of her life and is really in a bad place. Her grief has taken so much away from her. She never, ever wants to love again. However, she can't seem to resist Nick. You've got to read this book and see how they work out all their issues. It's really one not to miss!
I was given this book free in exchange for an honest review.
I didn’t request this book, it just appeared in the download list, I am unsure of how it got there.
I love Kim's stories and writing styles, and this story was no exception :) A story about two friends that fall in love. Even though this is a very popular plot line and has been done so many times before, Kim is able to breathe fresh air into this story. You can't go wrong with one of her books!
This book pulled me in immediately and kept me glued to my Kindle until I read the last word. The characters are so real, you can feel their emotions and put yourself in the middle of the story. I loved Nick Wilde, championship bull rider and his dynamic with the other characters especially his childhood crush and now helicopter pilot, Harper Stone. Montana Rescue is emotional, playful and excellently crafted, and I can't wait to read book 3 of The Wildes of Birch Bay.
