Although I did enjoy the plot and the story as a whole, I wasn't a huge fan of the characters and I didn't enjoy the writing style so this was a DNF for me.

This is by no means a bad book. I love ghost stories and this one in particular sounds so incredibly promising. But, unfortunately, I haven't been in the mood for ghost stories in a while and that could largely be blamed on the massive book slump I've been on for the past year. I definitely intend to get back to this, but as of right now, I'm putting Lockwood on hold, so I can enjoy him better later on.
