What a fascinating read! This is my first introduction to the writing of Amos Oz and I am so sorry I didn't begin sooner. The story is so complex and fascinating, reflecting on so many facets of the complexities of Israeli living.
I was so impressed that I plan on going back and reading much more of his works.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review. The writing is way above my pay grade and for readers who have attention spans longer than mine. I read about a third before I threw in the towel. I couldn't get very attached to any of the characters or the Judas/Jesus paragraphs. I hope my reader friends have better luck :)
