I really enjoyed the book, it has everything I love in a novel from start to finish. I can’t wait to read what the author has planned next!

I love these friends/neighbors to lovers books. Especially when they are so against each other like Benny and Henry are. Plus I love a good makeover book. Or movie. And Henry is making over Benny to be the woman for the man of her dreams. Of course Henry and Benny will end up falling for each other.

I can't wait to read more of the Sorensens' stories!

Enjoyed this. Loved how Benny put Henry in his place from the very beginning. But hated how at times Henry didn’t think he was good enough for Benny and felt he was only temporary for me. That killed me to read.
Plot: fun and entertaining. I liked how Benny wasn’t someone Henry could plow over with charm. He had to work to earn her respect and friendship. I enjoyed immensely how their feelings evolved organically and it didn’t seem to quick or forced but over time and as they got to know one another. I loved how the guy had more insecurities about himself and built the wall and was afraid to let someone in.
Characters: fun and quirky. Benny was smart and sassy. She kept Henry on his toes and in his place. Henry starts as the one you want to growl at. He seems to be one who doesn’t care but as you hear his story you understand him more. I loved him with his niece. Especially the skittles scene. Henry has us see his vulnerabilities and we got to feel for him. We saw him evolve more. Benny she grew into herself and gained confidence but also she almost lost who she was. She was becoming what she thought the doctor she liked wanted and it worked to a point. This was the boiling point for Henry and it was where we realize his feelings. Great moment and pivotal one as well.
Overall: Sassy, sexy, the attraction and banter was through the roof and entertaining. The getting to know one another sweet and intimate in the close moments we get. the story is entertaining and sexy. a fun time read.

This is a great romantic and easy read. We meet Dr Benny Sorenson of the Sorenson clan, the one who knew form an early age she wanted to be a Dr. She's the last woman standing in the family as the rest of them have found spouses or significant others. Benny is a pediatrician, landing a great job and with that buys herself a decent condo close to work.

The story opens with Benny wide awake late at night because once again her inconsiderate jerk of a neighbor is having another one of his parties with the music at deafening decibels. Benny has had it, bad enough someone parked in her parking space and she had to park two blocks away, this is the end. Clad in her pajama's she heads next door, and encounters her neighbor Henry Ellison, who is as good looking as they come and clearly a horse's backside. Until Benny threatens him, he reluctantly agrees to keep the noise down. Breaks up the party and Benny salvages what's left of her night.

Benny has a thing for another staff Pediatrician and when he's around her inner klutz and lack of confidence some roaring through. It's pretty comical to read and yet your heart goes out to her, let's face it, we've all been there. Benny hides herself in her scrubs, wears her hair in a ponytail, no makeup and those comfy ugly sneakers with ortho inserts. When Henry screws up yet again, she takes up her attorney sister in laws offer to write a letter to the HOA of their building. Benny's already called the woman. Who in turn called Henry and Henry thinks he can schmooze her. Because Henry is used to getting what he wants.

Henry has his own baggage too. His parents split when he was young, he went to live with his dad until his dad died and then at 11 he was sent back to live with his mother who was busy building her empire, no time for children and he meets his younger sister from husband # ??? . Morgan has a daughter Ella, who loves her Uncle Henry. Morgan is driven as well and Henry sees too much reminder of his mother in her. He's subtle about it but reminds her that Ella should come first. When Ella spends the weekend with Henry they end up at Benny's clinic and she's on duty because Ella put a skittle up her nose. He watches how good Benny is with Ella and something in him clicks. He also bears witness to Benny yet again making a klutz move when Luke is there. She can't even form a complete sentence. Henry watches this and forms a plan. Especially after he gets the letter from the HOA complete with fines and one more complaint and you're outta here.

He makes a deal with Benny to make her over... so she can attract Luke and in exchange she'll drop the complaint. There's a little message couched in there I picked up and don't know if other readers will as well. Interesting. Meanwhile they start with shopping, Ella in tow. Ella loves Benny.
Shopping leads to hair and makeup and it's a gradual process but it works. Meanwhile, Henry is beginning to have feelings about Benny and what's going on and after spending Sunday dinner at her house and passing family muster and seeing what a family really is begins to have thoughts about what he's doing.

Something happens that Henry calls Benny out on and he's right, she goes to talk to Luke about it and he's good. So she returns to talk to Henry only to have the rug yanked right out from under her.
The big question remains here what will happen with Benny and Henry. Will things work out on their own. Will Henry realize how miserable his life has been without her and what he wants for the future and now that Benny has more confidence in who she is and comfortable in her own skin, does she even need to deal with Henry?

I loved this story, quick sassy, clean (seriously no sex) and it has all the highs and lows and in betweens. It's about Benny who isn't comfortable in her own skin owning her entire being, curves and all. And Henry has a life lesson in here as well. It's a great little read.
I highly recommend. And I'll go back and read the other books in the series!
