This was was sweet. It had a buttoned up guy and an artistic woman getting a meet-cute, plus the world's most adorable (and probably largest) dog. The first chapter after their meeting did feel a little odd, like a chapter was missing, but once I got past that, I enjoyed it. Grace was just trying to find a place for herself that wasn't part of her family's reality tv show ways and Marc liked his quiet, business-y life. When the two get thrown together, it was fun watching them come unraveled.
I would have liked a little more with their friends so we got a more three-dimensional view of them, but overall, I thought it was a good read. It kept me invested and had some good love scenes, plus some general sweetness
I really didn’t know this was the third book in the series and surprisingly I’ve actually read the second book too. One of the key things that drew me to this book (without doubt) was Big Blue. Especially considering I have a Great Dane myself (A Harlequin as a matter of fact) I knew exactly how big but still gentle they can be. They are called the Gentle Giants for a reason and they fit it perfectly. And the whole fact on how they can wreck havoc in the house by just walking around? Completely true. Just one swish of their tails and everything around them literally falls. I know I’m going on more about the dog than the actual story and characters but believe me it was Big Blue who actually grabbed my heart on this one and I dearly wished he made more appearance.
The story as much as the previous one was written in the normal Na style although I’ve got to say at the beginning of the book I was highly leaning on a 4 star rating but by the end of it had tickled down to a 3.5 The characters as much as the others were likeable and I liked how Grace managed to break down Marc’s walls. Also I wish we actually got to know Marc’s age. We were only told he’s late 30’s so does that mean they have like a 10 year age gap? Or is it even more??? Wished we knew that though.
There's some good passion between Marcus and Grace and they have great chemistry. I liked the opposites attract scenario. I liked how intense Marcus was and I liked how forward he was. There's an instant attraction between them, and they both don't beat around the bush; they get right into it. I didn't really care for the whole Grace and her family being reality stars; Grace has left that life, but it still causes some issues for her and those around her. Marcus is all about his business until Grace comes into his life. The story is sweet and entertained me till the end. I almost went with a 3 star because I didn't like how Grace didn't discuss something with Marcus first before going ahead with what she wanted, but I went 4 stars because I mostly enjoyed the story. I enjoyed this series.
Anywhere You Are is the third installment in the Briarwood series, and I really enjoyed it. The fact that Marcus and Grace were more alike than they appeared on the surface made the story even sweeter.
I did get upset with Marcus more than once, though - the way he was jumping to conclusions without having all the facts did not make me happy.
I enjoyed this book. It pulled you right in and kept you turning the pages. This book was well written and I had no issues following the story.
This was a charming book that I waited much too long to read! I lovelovelove Grace!!! She is the kind of character I love reading about. She eschews fame for the simple, normal life, but her celebrity just won't stay down!
Marc is her perfect foil because he's everything she wants to be - private!
I highly recommend this book and I need to go back and read the books that came before in this series.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher on netgalley.
I kept ALMOST giving up on this book but then I would keep reading anyway. so it wasn't great but it wasn't terrible and it was obviously compelling enough for me to keep going. the characters were standard but had some individual quirks. mostly the female. the male was pretty bland. i liked the dog but wished they hadn't changed his awesome name. I haven't read the first 2 in this series and probably never will even though I did actually like both guys from them when they had scenes.
For me Elisabeth Barrett’s Return to Briarwood series has had its ups and downs, I’ve enjoyed it atruegemawardimmensely, I’ve loved the characters and Anywhere You Are finishes the series out on a very high note. From their very strange first meeting, to the incident that brings them together for the second time, to the fame that breaks them apart, to the realization they are better together, I loved this story. It was rich, full of life, complex yet simple and sexy and a perfect ending to this series.
Grace Davingham’s life has never been simple; with a dad who is a rock star legend and a mom who is a famed runway model plus her stint on the family’s reality show Grace has had enough of fame, fortune and being in the public eye which is why she is enjoying living, well more like hiding out, in Eastbridge, Connecticut. She likes that she’s made a couple of real friends, that she can mostly move around town without cameras constantly taking her picture and that her conversationalist artwork is starting to get some notice. When she meets Marcus Colby and she realizes he doesn’t have a clue who she is, it is refreshing and she enjoys every moment until that bubble is broken and she sees that her being in the public eye no matter that she doesn’t want to be is something Marc dislikes immensely.
This was a true story of opposites attracting and I love how they brought out the best in each other. Grace helped Marc to relax and be spontaneous and Marc gave Grace the normalcy she craved and she trusted that he would never betray her because of his own aversion to publicity. I appreciated how normal their lives were when they were together and that they enjoyed the very simple things in life like a walk along the beach, a picnic, or just a beach side shack of a restaurant. Their devotion to the Great Dane that Marc inherited just added to this perfect little life until Grace’s “old life” crashes their bubble. I could see both sides of their issue so I couldn’t take sides and I’ll admit at times I wondered if Ms. Barrett was going to be able to get them to see eye to eye.
I very much enjoyed seeing the characters from the first two books and a couple of new characters added some interest and I hope maybe a hint of a new series coming from this author.
A fast paced, exciting and sexy story Anywhere You Are was the perfect finale to the Return to Briarwood series.
I enjoyed this conclusion to Elisabeth Barrett's Return to Briarwood series.
Grace is the daughter of a hit reality series family and has removed herself from its tempestuous and fishbowl lifestyle. She now lives on her own terms as an almost reclusive life as a painter.
A hiking/walking mishap inserts her into Marcus' life. A life that is rigidly disciplined and has no room for fun.
A story of opposites attracting made laugh out loud funny by Big Blue, the ginormous great dane.

I enjoyed the story in this book very much. The one thing I didn't like was the smattering of f-bombs and very long descriptive sex scenes. Otherwise, the book was well written and the story had depth and emotion.
Grace Davingham was beautiful and part of a family who was famous. Her dad was an aging rockstar and her mother was a gorgeous model. Her brothers were part of this family who was reality TV darlings, too. Grace wanted out and have no part of the media spotlight on her. She moved away to a small town in Connecticut to pursue her passion of conservation and saving some endangered wildlife. She was a talented artist who hadn't yet been discovered.
Marcus Colby was a very successful real estate investor who had inherited his favorite aunt's great dane and house in Connecticut upon her death. He was a buttoned up stiff shirt. He never let loose and was always working and traveling to his various properties and job sites around the world. He and Grace couldn't have been more different but he enjoyed spending time with her and who he became when he was with her.
Unfortunately, the media wouldn't leave them alone and they ultimately had to make a decision if the high price of being in the media spotlight was worth it to be together.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
