There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the best Historical Western Romance books I’ve read lately. We once again visit Logan Meadows, Wyoming Territory, in 1883. The Sheriff is now happily married; the restaurant is serving each and every day of the week; a small Boarding House is in operation; the Livery is busy and now we have the Storybook Lodge Book Store which coincidentally is run by a “town spinster” and is located near the local saloon. Tabitha always dreamed of owning a book store but she didn’t think she would hear shouts, fights and drunken men while she tried to sleep in the small apartment over her book store. Her problems only increased when the new co-owner of the saloon was handsome and somewhat rugged Hunter Wade. His name alone made me love him and I suppose that would make me questionable to the citizens of this town.
This author managed to bring many of the characters of former books right into the storyline and renew our acquaintance, so to speak. It can be read as a stand-alone but makes it more interesting if you start off with Book One. I enjoyed the writing, smiled a lot, giggled on occasion and felt a grip in my heart at the suspenseful tales in the story. I highly recommend this book be added to your library. I received an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
