I eagerly await the latest publication by Archer Mayor each fall. He is a great storyteller with a real sense of place. His characters are full and real and the mystery is interesting. Archer's books are always a plus.

For some reason Archer Mayor dropped off my radar but this book got me back online. I love Joe and Willie and Sam and Lester. I also love that Joe has a love interest. Since I missed a few books I missed the death of his former love.
When a skeleton is found buried in the concrete outside a nuclear power plant, who is it? Because he was so preserved in the concrete, it doesn't take long to find out who he is. But, having to go back 45+ years to find out who would want him dead is the mystery. Joe and his team interview his wife, children, co-workers and friends who all thought he had just ran off. When Lester's son is the victim of a kidnapping, are these cases connected?
A very well written story, great characters and I'm back on the Mayor train!
