Bridger Payne is a bit of an puzzle. He’s very perceptive and as loyal of a friend that Woolf could ever ask for. But when it comes to love, Bridger has every wall up high and impossible to climb over. He can go through the motions at the Silo and participate in the act or dole out the requests, but his heart is not for sale. He has too much baggage and inner self loathing to try anything different until Maggie comes along. She’s in need of a sanctuary and comes with a tumultuous history as well, where her choices were limited and she did what she had to in order to survive. Bridger can relate and against his better judgment, helps her out and they become friends. The type of friends who go on to develop feelings and sexual tension. While it’s a decent storyline, I didn’t feel the connection between Bridger and Maggie, that seemed a bit contrived based on forced proximity. I thought I’d love Bridger, but he was average at best, and while Maggie had good qualities, it was lukewarm overall in terms of any interest in her. They both had their own journey to take so they could get to a better place for themselves and each other. It wasn’t easy, but they made it happen. Good for them on their progress and happiness, however, I wasn’t ever really invested in their relationship development.
Wow - this series just keeps getting hotter. Bridger is such a tortured, kind hearted soul. Maggie is dropped at his doorstep and he doesn't quite know what to do with her. She is mixed up in some dark stuff and Bridger's protective instincts take over.
Bridger can relate to Maggie's tortured past. They are two lost souls that find comfort in each other. The question will be if Bridger can allow himself to open up to Maggie for the long haul.
If you want hot, wicked sex - this is the series for you. As it states - not your typical Sawyer Bennett series, but it is oh so good.
Finally, we come to Bridger's story and I must admit, it was not what I was expecting.
Bridger Payne is a walking enigma that no one can quite figure out. Even his best friend don't know the full story of where Bridger came from.
In the Silo, Many want him but not can have him, well not the real him anyway.
That's because Bridger lives with so much pain, a pain he has no reason to get rid of since the pain is what makes him survive.
If you've read the books from the series you would know Bridger. He helped each and every one of my lovable guys to get their head out their arse and go after their women.
You would think that a man that gives such good advice would also take his own preaching, but no such luck. Bridger more believes in happily ever after for everyone other than him.
In his mind, he's too f*cked up to be helped and he's learned to accept that, but then Maggie was unexpectedly dumped in his care and Bridger found emotion he's never felt before burst in his chest.
I would be lying if I did not say that I hoped Bridger's love interest would have been a guy, or even a twin brother and sister. I mean why not, he can handle it. But after reading about how he was robbed of his childhood, I understood why Bridger needed Maggie in his life.
Maggie, wow, Maggie Maggie Maggie Maggie. Maggie got herself in some deep shit and I mean some really deep shit. It's your typical girl rebelling against her strict parents and falls into the wrong crowd kind of story.
Even with all that, I liked Maggie. She realised that she made a huge mistake (a little too late) and she tried to fix said mistake. But since she was in so deep, it was not easy for her to get away. It's also kickass how much torture she went through and still had the will to resist. Her unlikely saviour brought her to Bridger where her life was changed for the better.
This was not the ending to the series that I envisioned but it was still nice. Bridger was running scared and Maggie can finally stand on her own two feet. If I talk about this book anymore I might give more of the book away and you have to read this book before +Sawyer Bennett comes out with the next segment of the series.
I hear that this new series is going to Vegas baby! When you read this book, write in the comment section what you think.

Awesome!! LOVED Bridger's story!! I love a broken bad boy!!! This is the best book of the series!! This book was deliciously hot and super sweet!! A definite must-read!!
I'm so glad to finally get Bridger's story! This was a great addition to the series! I liked Maggie, although she has made some terrible choices in her life! I felt that she was trying to be a good mother, and that she loved her daughter ferociously. Bridger has been a wonderful character throughout the story, and it was so good to finally find out his background and what made him into the man he turned out to be.
This one had great characters, a good storyline, and was fast paced and easy to read. I loved seeing the characters form the previous books! If this is the last in the series, it was a great conclusion!
Sawyer Bennett save the best book in this series for last!! Loved Bridger!!
Wow! Simply Wow!! I love all the characters at The Wicked Horse and have always felt the Bridger was someone special. His story in Wicked Bond confirms just how remarkable Bridger is. Entangled in a situation which makes him uncomfortable for many reasons Wicked Bond is the wickedly honest tale of dealing with one's past, present and future and the demons and angels it may contain.
The fast paced witty writing style of Sawyer Bennett brings to life the world within and surrounding The Wicked Horse.
I didn't see this one coming. Bridger is the tough as nails, sexy as sin dom we've come to somewhat know, and 100% love and lust after. When Kyle from a local MC biker gang drops off an unconscious woman at his doorstep, he's less than thrilled at the situation and not wanting to get involved. Little did he know this woman, who he'd of course mislabel right off that bat was about to turn his world upside down. Maggie is just trying to survive. Bridger is just surviving. Neither of them are living and loving the life they live. But together, they click. It's a sweeter, yet still just as addictive side of Bridger that comes through around Maggie and her daughter.
Bridger has demons in his past that he's trying to outrun, and Maggie's got them in her present. In true alpha form, Bridger wants and needs what he thinks he'll ruin, Maggie. But Maggie has shown her strength. She may just be able to show him that together they can define their own life outside of the boxes Bridger has insisted on, and make a life worth living every bit of, happy and sinful to boot.
Hands down this is a must-read. Bridger stole my damn heart, and I'm not so sure I want it back. The Wicked Horse series is a new level of excellence and uniqueness. I look forward to more from Sawyer Bennett!
