Irene Seligman, an assistant district attorney in
Manhattan has returned to her home town in
Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her mother needs Irene
to take help care for her after the death of her
latest husband who left her in a destitute state.
Irene has set up an elite consignment shop. She
is about to open her shop until she finds a dead
body in the closet!!
Murders, kidnapping, naive and trusting everyone
older women, secrets, affairs, a mountain home,
a huge vault and a cast of colorful characters all
combine to make this a suspenseful, mystery
with some humor. There are plenty of twists and
turns and surprises in this story.

Great read! I thought the book was well written and well paced. It had a good sequential plot line.

This is definitely a 'cosy' mystery. lots of fun with a bit of intrigue.
For me, it was too busy .. so much happening, too much coming and going, so many people involved and a tad confusing as to whether they were 'goodies' or 'baddies'!
However, the core characters of Irene, Adelle and Angel made for very entertaining sleuths; A little more simplicity wouldn't go amiss though. Enjoyable read.
