Okay Read

I received a copy from Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

This was an alright read. This book describes five practical strategies to revitalize your church. I thought Kricher made some really great encouraging points, but I wished there more scripture verses to help us further execute the strategies. Also, I had to put the book down at times, which is a rarity when it comes to Christian non-fiction books and me. Overall, an okay read.

For a New Generation is not what I consider a book for readers who are looking for principles for a church replant or revitalization. The book's flow is more of a testimonial than an instructive insights. It is a great book in the aspect of how one church had a major turnaround, but with so many resources out there in regards to revitalization that For a New Generation simply just doesn't measure up to other books.
If you are looking for a good book on revitalization, I recommend Revitalize by Andrew Davis.
If you just looking for a book on a turnaround church, then For a New Generation is a great story.
