What a fun read! This book has been in my queue for some time, and I really wish I had read it sooner. Greg Dybec muses over how others have contributed to the person, and the writer that he is. Each vignette is well written and humorous, and those in their 20s and 30s will relate to his life well. The book is short and can be easily read in about 2 good sessions.
Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC!
Fast and easy read with a great humor. I enjoyed reading those funny stories about uber drivers or underwear company. Interesting cover.
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Fresh, whip-smart, and surprise on every page. Reading Greg Dybec's "The Art Of Living Other People's Lives" is like riding shotgun with coolest people you've ever met. Laughs, absurdity, and when you don't expect it sincere moments of raw honesty.
Dybec was a guest on my podcast 'Madame Perry's Salon. The episode still gets downloads weekly, and followers still quote the book like most of us quote lines from movies! Get it now!

I must say that i think "First wolrd problems" a lot of times while i was reading this book, but i can say that wasn't entertaiment and interesting. A good way to spend an evening
Funny and entertaining, this is one book that will cheer you up.
The art of living other people's lives is just that – Dybec living other people's life. As the managing editor of the daily Elite, this is his memoir and probably an apology for kind of eavesdropping on all our lives for among other reasons his career demands it. Either way it is an amusing recant in a humorous, ironical, self-deprecating, quirky neurotic way. Along the way, he digresses much to ones delight about his other misadventures. Well Dybec gets five stripes for his bravado in honestly reveal himself no holds barred, well almost.
This book was hilarious and introspective at the same time. Greg is the kind of writer I'd love to read repeatedly.
He talks about how social media can make us dysfunctional in the real world. However, it provides a platform for us showcase a life we may desire.
His stories about his mum, uber drivers, writing for an underwear company etc. are hilarious but make you think also.
We are not as alone as we think we are.
