I did not finish this book. I wanted to and tried my hardest, but I just could not get into the story. I will perhaps give it a try at another time. There are too many books out there to get stuck trying to finish one.

A rather interesting piece of non-fiction but unfortunately, Cutler's writing a little dry and dull so there were parts of the book where I would lose my inclination to read or skip pages because my attention just wouldn't remain. I also felt like this book wasn't holistic enough--like there was a lot on Jane's past but not as much on her later life. Nevertheless, I do love the details and the amount of research done for this book is clear. All in all, this book provided me some food for thought and it raised interesting questions that I'd love to revisited. A good read for days when I want to contemplate life and everything else.
