If you have been following my blog for awhile, it will come as no surprise as to how much I love reading Carolyn Brown! THE LULLABY SKY is exactly why! She makes me want to pack my bags and run to wherever her book setting takes place! THE LULLABY SKY is a beautiful heartfelt story on sensitive topic but out of it you get strong friendships, love stories & amazing family. All of the characters are very interesting and believable, so much so that I felt as if I’ve known them for a long time. I would love to hang out with Rosie and Birdie. I’m sure they could teach me a thing or two and I know they would keep my laughing all day long! I love how Carolyn Brown does that to me each and every time.

Hannah O’Malley and her 6 year old Sophie are lucky to escape a brutal situation when an OCD abusive husband wants a divorce because his new girlfriend is expecting. Part of the divorce settlement is that Hannah gets to keep her house. With the help of her family and high school friends that still live in Crossing, Texas she turns her home into a safe house for abused women. THE LULLABY SKY is the name of the house. You are going to love the close knit group of friends and the two old ladies, the group’s matriarchs, Aunt Birdie and Aunt Rosie.

Liz, Darcy, Cal, Hannah, and Travis have all grown up together and always have been there for each other. Travis in particular has always had a crush on Hannah but kept it to himself. Hannah’s daughter, Sophie, is particularly taken with Travis. THE LULLABY SKY is such a heart tugging story. This family of people who genuinely care for one another will have you imagining sitting at the table talking and being surrounded by love and laughter! THE LULLABY SKY becomes a shelter for women on the run from dangerous men. It also becomes a place of healing, not only for these women, but for Hannah and Sophie.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Montlake Romance through Netgalley. All opinions expressed are my own and were voluntarily given.
