Random Acts of Marriage is the first book by Boone Brux I have ever read and I loved it. She has great complex characters. Their chemistry was amazing. It was so good that when I looked back and realized how fast their romance went I was really shocked. It made me feel like it was a lot slower. It wasn't rushed and yet the story never slowed down. This was a great opposite attract friendish to lovers romance. Not a lot of sex scenes but full of sexual tension and spice. Wonderful personal growth for both characters and a few laugh out loud moments. I will be looking for more by this author.

There is both light cursing (but NO f-bombs) and explicit on-screen sex in this one. If those things will cause you to leave a bad review, you should skip this one. While this is part of a larger series, it completely and totally stands alone. You do not have to have read the first book to enjoy this one.

This book was a seriously cute, fun, and easy read. Kinni and Price are the epitome of opposites not only attracting, but being perfect for each other. I thought the way that their relationship developed over time was sweet, but there was also a ton of heat without sex becoming the main plot of the book. As a reader, I very much appreciate that balance.

If you're looking for a light and fun but very well-written book about two characters who make no sense “on paper” but who are just so obviously meant to be, you should read this book.

I requested and was very generously granted an ARC of this book via NetGalley and the publisher. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because I enjoyed the story.

I loved this book. What a great twist on a wedding story. Kinni and Price kept me turning the pages wondering what was coming next!

Poor Kinni, I swear she was wrapped so tight that she just couldn't relax. Graduated from Law school and helping her friend Roxy get ready for her wedding is the perfect thing for Kinni because she's a perfectionist and doesn't stop until things are done to her complete and utter satisfaction. Roxy wants to give Kinni a gift and the gift is for Kinni to relax this week and have fun before the wedding.
All her duties are done. When Price overhears them, he decides to invite himself to help Kinni relax and have a good time. Relax is not in her vocabulary and Price had his work cut out for him. Price and Kinni have known each other for a long time, same circle of friends but never really go to know each other on any sort of level. Price decides when he starts to get to know Kinni he wants to change that. It was great watching these two dance around each other, which was basically Price coaxing Kinni, usually with a bet or challenge because Kinni isn't one to back down. Kinni has had problems finding a job since getting out of school, so there's a story in there too.
I'm not spilling any more beans about this one, you just have to read it. It's great. I laughed, sighed and knew I was in trouble when I started talking to my kindle. Read the book, it's a great story. You'll love it.
