I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. It was quite interesting and had some twists, the characters were not always very pleasant and all in all it was ok.
This book was ok.
Some interesting characters and i preferred the ending more then anything else
Thank you netgalley for a copy for an honest review

I received this ARC through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!!
Ive posted a full review on Goodreads and I look forward to reading more from this author!
this was a good intense read, I took some time to understand the writing style.
Thanks to netgalley and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-Op for approving this ARC.
Omg talk about a roller coaster read wow this book kept me on the edge of my seat threw out I just couldn't put it down this writer keeps you hooked and once your hooked your not letting go I found this book thrilling the characters were fantastic and well thought out and the little clues all the way threw keep you guessing until the end this book stays with you long after you close the book this book is well worth the read I promise you wont be disappointed
The Hollywood setting is a perfect fit for this story, and although it seems a predictable storyline, the final quarter of the book twists and turns delightfully.
I took forever to read it, as I had it downloaded on my phone and only read bits when I had a few minutes to spare. That way, it seemed a slow burn. However, it is a great twist on the ‘whodunnit’ murder mystery and the characters, a la Hollywood were very believable.
If you persevere with the book, you will enjoy it!
A cracking psychological thriller that really plays with your mind to the point that you are still wondering after you put the book down.
A great story with an excellent plot that has all the twists and turns in the right places to keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters have been created skilfully and they are likeable which draws you in even more. Especially those who like a tale with a number of threads that are expertly woven together into one web together.
With thanks to NetGalley for the copy of the book.
Saved by the ending.
This book was rather slow in the early parts - although it did improve towards the end. Some of the twists are predictable, although the author did manage to make some surprises, or reveals that were not signalled long before. I enjoyed reading the latter third of this book, but it did take a while to get there.
I had to DNF this book, I really didn't like it, couldn't connect to the characters at all and found it dragged, nothing pulled me into the story and gripped me enough to read it
.
*Huge thanks to Alison Gaylin, Random House UK, Cornerstone and NetGalley for this copy which I chose to read and all opinions are my own*
What Remains of Me by AL Gaylin is an atmospheric and well written novel with an intriguing mystery element.
I tried this is something different a few years ago, but really struggled with Gaylin's style at the time and put the book down.
Having completely forgotten about it for a few years (an indicator in itself of the books weaknesses) I recently tried again but could only manage a chapter or two.
Cant give a bad review as just wasn't my thing, i hope others enjoyed it htough.
With many apologies, this book just wasn't for me, but may appeal to other readers.
Quite average, slow-moving and predictable story. Perhaps, it just wasn't for me. Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the advance copy.
We know who's dead but unravel the stories to find out who did it?
I had to read this book in two halves as I got a bit bored but as the author had let me read it via NetGalley I felt I had to fulfil my obligation and persevere. There are many twists and turns within but I am glad I got to the end - finally. I would think this book would make a great holiday read...alongside a pool or beach with few interuptions.
When I read the description of this book, I have to admit I wasn't sure how good it would actually be. I started reading thinking I would probably not finish it. I'm so glad I gave this book a go now. The storyline was quite complex and I had to be fully alert when I read it, in order to try and fit all the pieces of the jigsaw together. In doing so, I realised how clever and detailed the plot actually was! The characters aren't particularly likeable, but actually that doesn't matter. The plot is very solid and well written - this is what makes the book excellent.
Unfortunately for some reason I struggled with this book I had such high hopes for it but there again it well may have been due to my frame of mind whilst reading it.
Kelly Lund, a troubled teen was imprisoned when just 17, convicted of murder. Fast forward 30 years after she is released from prison and now married to the brother of her once best friend. The relationships of this story are intertwined and complex. A fast paced story that has flash backs to 1980 when the events that shape Kelly's life really begin. After many twists, turns and troubled characters, a great climax to this book will leave the reader satisfied.
