Amazing conclusion to the trilogy. This is a personal favorite. One I wish I could read for the first time again.
It's al the things I look for in a romantic suspense.
Highly recommend to all my followers who love a gripping thriller romance.
Sawyer Bennett books are always a good time and this is no exception. Quick read but super spicy and fun.
The roller coaster ride wasn’t finished…
Whew… I think I started this series with a ‘wow’ and, really, that hasn’t changed too much except for I’m exhausted lol. This series had Sela and Beck (and me!) racing on an up and down journey that never let up. At times working together, while others they were on opposite sides, at the end… Well, the tension, the drama – it all came together in almost a quiet, but oh so satisfying way…
What do you do when what you fought so hard for, so long for, came true? Not the way you imagined. Not at all the way you thought it would. Yeah, sometimes things don’t turn out the way you plan – often, really – and that’s what happened here. Unexpected for sure but at the end of the day it was the way it all was meant to be…
I loved this trilogy and I think my favourite part ended up being the many mini epilogues. A sweet ending that made me smile…
Lots of plot twists and a captivating story that will not let you put this book down. I loved the idea and realism of the story. After so many cliffhangers this series had a great ending. Definitely recommend to any YA lover.
Loved this conclusion to the series! The previous two books both ended on a high note, so I had great expectations for this book! And it definitely did not disappoint!
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
Oh thank god. This final installment in the Sugar Bowl series had me holding my breath the entire time. How would Sela and Beck get themselves out of the mess they found themselves in? How would they deal with the repercussions of everything JT revealed in Sugar Rush? I get disgusted just thinking about how terrible he really was. Ugh.
The ending is a refreshing twist now that the series is over. The way Bennett ties up Beck and Sela's story in a way that really wraps everything up nicely is wonderful and I appreciate the glimpse into the future.
All in all, the Sugar Bowl series was a great read and I blew through the whole thing in about two days. Well worth the read if you can handle the traumatic elements.
This series started out so strong for me, but for some reason it fizzled at the end of book two. This wasn't my favorite from Ms. Bennett but I continue to be an uber fan. The plot seemed forced and over done by this one, I would have liked it if it stayed two books, maybe one. My 2 cents. Thank you so much for the opportunity to review.
3.5 Finale Stars
I wanted to strangle Sela (pun intended) for going out there. Who does that when you know the person is a sociopath? I guess it needed to be done in order to propel the story forward. But UGH!... I was so frustrated with her, and Beck, in this book.
I loved Dennis and Caroline. I knew she was going to learn the truth, but wish her brother had told her. No one should find out how she did.
I did identify with Caroline and Beck when it came to their parents. I had one parent who never seemed to be interested and when he passed, people were upset with me for not having the same emotions they did. I get feeling badly for the family or just because it was someone you knew, but you can't force an emotion like the loss of a parent when they weren't really there to begin with.
It was crazy how the legal system railroad Sela and Beck and made things look the way they wanted them too. This with simple explanations were twisted to make them look bad. This is why I never make it on jury duty. I'm too skeptical. I've also had a police officer say I was speeding when I wasn't and the judge believed him when I fought the ticket. No radar showing I was speeding. Just a motorcycle cop trying to get his quota. I was also in a car where a roadblock was set up because the police thought the cars some college friends and I were in (all from different states... COLLEGE!) were a ring of car thieves so we spent a couple hours on our knees in the middle of the road while they searched us and our cars, only to find NOTHING because again...WE WERE COLLEGE STUDENTS! And there was no report made to prove they had stopped us. I never make jury duty.... :-)
This was a good ending, though I wanted more, which I always do. So why only give it 3.5 stars. Well that's because it felt like it dragged in the whole, "I make the decisions" thing from Beck. Along with the fact that I think he took too long to call Dennis, who I knew could probably help, and it was just dumb to dispose of everything. Put it in a safety deposit box or even in Sela's apartment, which no one seemed to remember was still unused but being paid for since her lease wasn't up. I just saw so many scenarios that would have gotten them out of the predicament they were in because Beck made some crazy choices.
But I did enjoy the audiobook readers as well as the story as a whole.
In this third and final installment of the series, Sawyer Bennett does not disappoint! Sugar free was suspenseful, gripping and entertaining. I was a little hesitant and curious, as to how the story would wrap up, but it was better than I anticipated. First of all, please do not read this on it's own. It is def part of a series and it needs to be in order.
Book 2 ended and I feel I wasn't able to breathe, until I read Sugar Rush. LOL. Beck and Sala have a whirlwind romance that comes about from happenstance yet has with stood time and the typical challenges that come about in a new relationship. Once, Sela makes Beck aware of her initial vendetta against his business partner, their relationship became more cemented and they become more of a unit, in my opinion.
“What you and I have, Sela…no one will ever comprehend it. No one will ever come between it. But it’s real and it’s ours, and I’m never letting it go.”
Honestly, I was worried the story would become too over the top and go cheesy, as I find typical when some angst or major drama happens. But, Sawyer Bennett handled the transition flawlessly and incredibly well done.
However, the evolution and maturity in Beck and Sala's characters and in their relationship, throughout the series, was the real winner here.
Highly recommend that you take a sweet ride with Beck and Sala through the Sugar Bowl series.
Sawyer Bennett is one of my favorite authors out there! I will read whatever she puts out! I love everything she writes!
Another amazing book and series by Sawyer Bennett. Your heart will be pounding while reading this waiting to see what will happen next. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. You will still feel the love between Sela and Beck and there are still steamy scenes but there will be a twist! You will not regret reading this book.
I received a ARC in exchange for a honest review.
I love this series!! Sawyer Bennett is one of my all time favourite authors! This book is the last in this trilogy. It picks up right where Sugar Rush leaves off and again has so many twists, turns, lies, secrets and jaw dropping moments. This last book was made to be a final page turner. The book ends in a exhilarating ending for Sela and Beck!
I highly recommend this series for readers who love to be on the edge of their seats for their reading pleasure. 5 out of 5 stars for this series!!!
The last installment of the Sugar Bowl series is intense and suspenseful. After killing Jonathan Townsend in self-defense, Sela runs to Beck. For years she had dreamed of revenge, but the reality of killing one of the three men who defiled her at the tender age of sixteen was a far cry from what she expected. Guilt and worry about what the consequences of her act would mean for her and Beck scared her senseless. Following Beck's plans to keep her safe ensues a game of hide and seek. Now it's up to the police to figure out what happened and to Beck and Sela to survive this ordeal. With unexpected twists, the many lies that surround Beck's family and a politically hungry DA, Sela might never get the HEA she once foresaw with Beck. Sawyer Bennett is fantastic in Sugar Free. Lies are unmasked, alliances are strengthened, and love and friendship do conquer all. In an unexpected turn, Caroline and Beck's right-hand man Dennis have a moment of happiness together. Will that earn them their own book? I hope so…

This story had me on edge and I was rooting for Sela and Beck during this final book. I thought Jonathan got what he deserved and justice was served in the end.
I loved how Beck tries to protect those he loves. He proves that he's willing to do anything to keep her safe and sacrifices so much for Sela.
I wanted Sela and Beck to have their happy ending. I did not see the twist in the end and really enjoyed this story so much. Beck and Sela were soul mates and I loved the darker tone of this entire series. I definitely recommend this series.
Wow! What a great ending to a great series!! The story was captivating and well-written! Loved I!! This is a must-read series!!
I thought this book was a bit too rushed, which is my only complaint about it. Overall this was a very solid series which I enjoyed.
4 TENSION FILLED STARS!
Sawyer Bennett has swept me away once again, executing the final installment to this suspenseful trilogy in a way that left me in awe.
Cliffhangers always have me biting my nails and wanting to pull my hair out, but you got to love them! It's what keeps you literally on the edge wanting more. Sawyer did an excellent job leaving me hanging from a cliff through out this entire series.
Sugar Free was filled with suspense, lust, hate, pain, and love. It was an epic clustef*ck of how to best conceal JT's death and it kept me intrigued at all times. We had Beck who wanted to protect Sela and Sela who wanted to take full responsibility in order to protect Beck. It was back and forth again and again. There were even moments I just wanted to slap Sela. Even though there was tension they remained together and were willing to make sacrifices for the other. Now that's love, people!
So much was revealed in this last book. Sawyer gave this series the closure it not only needed, but deserved. This series did not disappoint and I'm secretly hoping/longing for a spin off book just about Caroline!
This was a great conclusion to the story of Sela and Beckett. I was really worried about these two characters and how everything would play out, but Sawyer Bennett pulled off a really good conclusion! I loved Sela and Beckett and was completely engrossed in the storyline. As usual, a great one by the author!
Absolulety loved this series. Sawyer Bennett keeps you on the edge of your seat. The conclusion rocked it!
