This was so cute for my four boys. They love superheroes and this book was a great read about how to get ready for the day!
My twin boys thoroughly enjoyed this book. We do love to read. This would be even better in hard cover.
A cute and adorable read for all superhero lovers, children, and adults.
This was just as adorable as the first installment, "Bedtime for Batman". Here we see a little boy getting ready to head to school in the morning - decked out in his Superman outfit, of course! - juxtaposed with the "real" Superman. Somehow I found the text not quite as perfectly matched as in "Batman", but it was still fun to see the boy "reveal his secret uniform" (get dressed), "gather his strength" (eat breakfast), "face his greatest fears" (brush his teeth), etc. The illustrations were as cute as before, and the bird/plane joke did not go amiss :-P. A must read for comic fans with little ones!
Good Morning, Superman! is a really cute book. A little boy is getting ready for the day and everything he does is mirrored by something Superman does. For example, as the little boy gets dressed, Superman reveals his costume. The boy eats his breakfast, gathering his strength, as Superman flies above the buildings, getting ready to fight the bad guys. Even the boy’s sister gets in on the act in her Supergirl costume, handing him his lunchbox, because helpers are super heroes too.
The illustrations are bright and fun, just like the cover. It’s a perfect book for any superhero loving pre-schooler. It may even help with the morning routine.
Very nice. Short but sweet children's story. Quite enjoyable.
Superman comes to life as your child in Good Morning, Superman! The story takes the reader through what it would be like to be Superman. The reader can fill the heroes' shoes by leaping tall buildings also known as jumping out of bed or other activities from a morning routine. The graphics are true DC Comic graphics and will delight the reader with their cheerful colors. The story will appeal to a younger audience and doesn't have much text. It is a cute way to reinforce a morning routine with a child.
This week we read Good Morning, Superman by Michael Dahl and illustrated by Omar Lozano. This is a SUPER book for young children. Our family is superhero-friendly. All toy boxes and book shelves are filled with all things superhero related. So, when the opportunity came along to read this book, I jumped at the chance.
Good Morning, Superman is a fun book to look at because the children’s morning routine is mirrored by Superman’s hero saving activities. Time to get dressed, just like Clark Kent! Duty calls for our young hero (time to use the potty and brush his teeth), while the panel also shows how duty calls superman to save the day!
This book is not only fun and brightly illustrated, it works well to teach your child a morning routine. For those parents struggling to get their kids up and out of the door in the morning, this book will be helpful in teaching them an easy routine in a fun way. It is a great book to add to your superhero collection.
I want to create an entire story time around “Good Morning, Superman!"
Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s the sun! A young boy and Superman go about their mornings in different, but similar ways. They each don a uniform, face their kryptonite and prepare to face the day.
Good Morning, Superman! written by Michael Dahl and illustrated by Omar Lozano, is licensed by DC Comics and features the well-known superhero, Superman. This good morning book, pairs nicely with its companion picture book, Bedtime for Batman. With short, easy sentences and bright, lively illustrations, this book is perfect for young non-readers, or children just learning to read. Superman is easily recognized, making this a hit with readers who might prefer a familiar face in their stories. This book is best for ages 3 to 5, as older children may be bored with the simple story and text.
The sun rises, bringing with it a new day in the city of Metropolis. With the rising of the sun, Clark Kent transforms into Superman. At our house, a toddler wakes up ready to conquer the day. But before she can leave the house, there are a number of things to do to get ready.
From the creative mind of Michael Dahl, comes another superhero themed children’s book. Similar to his book Bedtime for Batman, Good Morning Superman parallels Clark Kent getting ready for the day with an unnamed African-American boy getting ready for the day.
Toddler J loves Bedtime for Batman, mostly for the checklist at the end of the book, assuring that we have done everything we need to for bedtime. Good Morning Superman provides a similar checklist. At the conclusion of reading the book, Toddler J enjoys going through the list, which is a series of square images from the book. The list helps parents and children get that morning routine down.
'Good Morning, Superman' by Michael Dahl with illustrations by Omar Lozano is a compoanion book to the recently released 'Bedtime for Batman.' They are picture books for young children who also like superheroes.
The story, like the previous one, parallels a superhero and a young child. This time around, it's Superman and a little boy getting ready for the day. It shows Superman changing into his uniform as the little boy gets dressed. Superman fights off kryptonite as the boy has to brush his teeth with a kryptonite colored toothbrush. My favorite bit is when Supergirl and Krypto show up to help. The book ends with a morning checklist of all the things done to get ready for the day.
I really liked the first book, and I liked this one even more. The illustrations are great and the colors on the pages are bright. I like that a girl superhero got included this time around. This would be a really fun read with an energetic 3 or 4 year old.
