This was an okay read, but I am probably not the best judge of its merits. The story is more about a man's conversion to belief in some concept of god than a study of atheism. As an actual atheist, who was raised Catholic but with doubts from an early age, I found the story entertaining but unrealistic. There are, in fact, atheists in foxholes.
I received an ARC of The Atheist in exchange for an honest review.

I have read this book and I think my expectations were to high as I read other books in this genre which blew me away and stayed with me or even gave me a book hangover.
This book just didn’t work for me, there was no flow for me when reading and ended up feeling that this was not the book for me this time.
