Cate was going to Vegas for three days . Cate had been working sixteen hour days and even when not at work her thoughts were about strategies and potential questions and arguments. Cate needed a break. Cate had been surprised and flattered when she had been asked to second chair one of the biggest cases the DA’s office had ever seen. Cate had only been an ADA for three years. Cate was a decent trial attorney but Cate had to be honest the last five months had taken a toll on her. But Cate knew it would be worth it to hear the jury pronounce every single person in the sex slave ring guilty. Cate started fantasizing about her boss Lucas then Lucas ends up in the seat next to Cate on the plane. Lucas is going to his best friend’s wedding. His best friend was going to set him up with a woman so Lucas said he had brought someone with him-Cate. Then all a sudden Lucas is very attracted to Cate. Even though they had worked closely together for several months. Then Cate lets her secret attraction to Lucas come to the surface. They become lovers. But attorney’s dating each other in the same DA office is frowned upon.Lucas also has commitment issues.
This was a good read but I didn’t like the insta/ attraction from Lucas. If he was going to be attracted to her he had plenty of time before the trip. Also office romances aren’t a good thing and they both knew this before becoming lovers.Lucas really wasn’t over his bitter divorce. But it was a good read , fairly predictable as far as I was concerned. I liked the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I recommend.

I needed more of a plot with this story.

Boss propositions his subordinate to attend a wedding with him after realizing they are both going to the same place for the weekend (Vegas of course). She's attracted to him, but he didn't seem to notice her until that weekend. The first "scene"....well that was just weird. It seemed very out of character for two attorneys who have never been intimate with one another (hell they never even kissed).

I wanted more of a plot rather than just two people discovering they're a good fit sexually.
