It is not often that a novel leaves me as cold as this has so far. Abhorrent pacing, terrible writing, a boring plotline. There is just nothing to recommend this book. I am 34% through the novel. I will finish because I have made it thus far, but man I hate this book.

I don't know whether to fault the author, the translator, or the editor for the clumsy language but I do know that the book itself was just not one I wanted to continue to read. THanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This was a rare misstep in the AmazonCrossing program of bringing world literature to English language readers.
