Never got to this and not interested any more. I think it’s just been to long and I don’t think motorcycle romances are my thing

This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you

Fabulous story, which really made me care for all of the characters. Great love story, and leading man. Highly recommend!

I've been in such a book slump lately that I've become really picky in what I actually choose to read.
Devil's Honor admittedly has a very attractive cover model which may have caught my eye and the summary sounded like my kind of relationship trope. The idea of two people who couldn't admit their love for each other reuniting in a very snarly, sexy way made for very good, hot reading.

Also, while the motorcycle club thing may have taken over the romance world and made me grow tired after a million or two reads. I will admit that once I find a good MC romance book to read it makes me happy. I've read some other gritty ones and while they were similar and yet different in their own ways, I liked that Devil's Honor will be able to stand on its own without one too many comparisons to any other MC book.

This is a great start to a new MC series. I liked Greely a lot. The plot was good, however the author became too descriptive in some areas. Overall it was a quick read, bad boy/good girl second chance story.

Sorry I was not able to read you book but it went to archive before I could get to it. Sorry once again.

I have read alot of MC books of late so had to look into this one. I had read another book from this author so thought this would be one too since I did like her writing. It will pick you up right away and take you away with it centering around Merritt and Greeley. Also would say a second chance one two since this is not there first time around. Now older and better we go with them as things speed along. Crazy comes a knocking but doesn't have a place up against this one. Heat will also be the fuel but the drama will carry it along. By the time you get to the end of this one you will be scorched.

DEVIL's HONOR - Megan Crane

#1 in The Devil's Keepers MC romance

HOT AND STEAMY IN THE SOUTH - 4.5 stars

Plot - 4.5 stars - There's a lot of excitement in this book. I was immediately caught up in Merritt's fear of stalker-ish Antony and shared her relief at coming home to Louisiana. But her mixed feelings about Greeley added some interesting complications as she decides how she's going to handle the situation and the rest of her life.

Writing - 4.5 stars - There was never a break in the forward movement--I was captivated right from the beginning. Merritt's character was warm and I could really get inside her head. And her explosive relationship with Greeley was HOT, with extremely passionate moments that alternated with tender love. It was not the typical alpha/sub relationship like so many mc books are--I thought there was a lot more dimension to the personalities involved. There were enough thoughts from both characters that I understood both their motivations, but it was a seamless transition between them so I didn't even notice it was happening.

Characters - 4.5 stars - This is where the story particularly shone for me. Merritt is smart and assertive, even though she's currently not at her best because of the scary relationship she's just escaped. Her mixed feelings about Louisiana (and Greeley) are clear, but her instincts to be there and to be with him are obvious to everyone but her. Greeley, on the other hand, is great. Although he's the typical alpha-male take-em-and-leave-em motorcycle guy, he's also well-read and occasionally sensitive, and obviously totally in love with Merritt. His commitment to the club and to Merritt are clear and straight-forward, and you know where you stand with him. Their connection is deep and extremely passionate--sex scenes are totally hot.

Title - 4 stars - Greeley is a man of honor, despite his affiliation with the outlaw club. Since the mc is called The Devil's Keepers, I suppose this refers to him.

Cover - 3.5 stars - Love the color, but I don't find the man on the cover to be particularly attractive. Although he has the naked abs common on the covers of this genre, his pose is pensive and his stance is reserved. Very appealing and eye-catching.

Overview - 4.5 stars - There's never a dull moment with this book, and I particularly enjoyed the main characters who kept the story moving forward quickly and enjoyably. The confrontation with Antony was inevitable but deliciously anticipated, so that story line simply added to the tension that Crane was able to build. And the mystery about Digger (The Devil's Keepers president) remains a mystery for a future book, but I didn't feel like I was left with a cliffhanger--simply something I'd like to learn more about sometime in the future. I felt a part of the world Crane built right from the beginning, not just with the main characters but with other members of the club and also with Merritt's friend Lanie. Excellent job, and I look forward to reading more in the series and from this author in general.

Devil's Honor by Megan Crane is the first in the Devil's Keepers series. This was a great beach read. I can’t wait for the next one.

Merritt and Greeley have a hot summer affair. So hot Greeley is thinking she should stay with him. Merritt has dreams to follow and doesn't look back. Until her dreams aren't all they promised to be and she needs to feel safe again. Even after 5 years Greeley still makes her feel safe but what about those dreams she was chasing...

These characters were well developed and had great chemistry. Their internal dialogues were as complex as their feelings for each other.

Oh man, I loved this...Greeley and Merritt..and the supporting characters...yummm (except for the ex..creepy, big time)
Overall, a great read, strong storyline, love lost and gained...Greeley, oh Greeley, what a hardarse, with a huge soft spot for Merritt...and Merritt, fighting her fears, emotional, strong when needing to be.

Merritt is back in town, something she swore she'd never do. But her daddy's died and she has come back to pack up the house and hide from her boss/boyfriend who is a possessive jerk. She knows if she's back, Greeley will come after her, telling her he'd either kill her or make her his if she ever returned. Merritt is now a lawyer but can't make up her mind...she goes back and forth in the book, constantly. Many steamy sex scenes and I really liked Greeley but Merritt needed a do-over!

As always first and foremost is a thank you to Netgalley and Random House Loveswept for providing us with a copy of these books so that we could bring you this review.

Oh man these bad ass bikers really got the perfect names. They are devils in how hot and demanding they are. Now they are ready to take on the world until these women walk into their lives. With Greeley and Merritt we have a second chance love. One that has always been in their blood the whole time. Growing and just waiting to explode in the right way. They were exactly the thing that they needed. But I hated the fact that Merritt's ex and stalker got to walk away. I felt for Greeley and his need to get revenge. Then we have a forbidden love in Uptown and Holly. Maybe it was the fact that they needed to release something that they had in the past. An event that changed how they both saw the world. My heart broke for Holly as she discovered more and more who her father really was.

I give both these books 4.5 rumbling kisses...

Happy Reading... Adri

I have to start by saying that I am a big fan of Motorcycle Club books, especially when they are part of the bad boy / good girl trope which this one is and it's also a Second Chance at Love story.

Merritt and Greeley had a summer fling before she left for law school several years earlier, the prologue fills us in on their hot and steamy but short lived romance. Greeley was pissed when Merritt left and told her never to come back to Lagrange again. She listened to him because she knew he was hurt when she told him she was leaving, but now her father has died and she is using that excuse to return hoping that no one will bother her while she is settling her fathers affairs. but that isn't the real reason she is hiding out in her childhood home...nope not the reason at all.

Greeley was your typical bad boy / outlaw / motorcycle club member, he was seriously bad news all around especially since he held the title of sergeant-at-arms Devil's Keeper MC. Gone was the person Merritt knew years ago and in his place was a hard, dangerous man, one she didn't know anything about.

Merritt and Greeley worked well together, she was soft where he was hard, she was compliant where he was strong-willed, and she was naive where he was worldly. I also enjoyed the give and take between the two of them.

This was a good start to the series, I look forward to reading more about the men of the Devil's Keepers MC, Killian "Uptown" Chenier's story is up next and I have a feeling that this pretty boy is hiding a lot of secrets.

Hugely enjoyed and read as much as I could as often as I could because I really love the edgy Megan Crane writing style. Loved the first book of the series and have high hopes for it to continue. I think the fast paced action and situations and banter between the two were awesome and is recommended this to anyone looking for a new series.

I was given ARC copy for review by Netgelley and Loveswept.
Merritt Broussard is back where she didn't want to be HOME. She left 5 years ago with the promise to never come back.
Joseph "Greeley " Shaw promised Merritt that if she ever came back he would either keep her or kill her.
Mustv read to find out!!!
