Winter Wonderland by Elizabeth Mansfield

While I loved this same author's book titled A Christmas Kiss, I felt the complete opposite about this book, There's too much revenge/punishing vibes in it for me, and I nearly DNFed it as soon as our hero does nothing to help the heroine when a man forces himself on to her. Why? Because this hero wants to punish her for how she treated him 11 years ago. When she was a teenager. He treats her like crap. And when she can't take it any longer, he grabs her and forcibly kisses her while she hits him and struggles to get away before finally giving up and going limp. And then she loves him. THAT'S when I DNFed.
