A fun fast paced thrill of a ride from Turner. If you like his previous work you will like this. A little formulaic but it does what it intends.

I have discovered most of my new favorite writers on NetGalley. J B Turner is one of them. His novels are filled with suspense and thrilling twists. "Hard Wired" is an action packed novel that will keep you wide awake.

The third book in the series and the thrill ride that started with the first two volumes hasn't stopped and I'm afraid I will run out of books in this series before the week is over.
J.B. Turner is easily one of my best discoveries of 2018 and my only regret is that I didn't come across him sooner. This series about former Delta operative Jon Reznick has taken me for a thrill ride that I will be disappointed to come off.
Once more, Reznick and the FBI are working together, at least sort of, but personality clashes are threatening the progress. Needless to say, the story is action-packed, surprising and wonderfully awesome.
Fans of Brad Thor, Lee Child and Vince Flynn will absolutely love this series.

All I saw in this one was the bad, heavy-handed writing. The story didn't even register.

I've read the first two in the Reznick series and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Knowing the 4th book has recently been released I figured it was high time to catch up so started on this the third book in the series. Jon Reznick is ex-delta and has a myriad of skills which sets him apart. He has previously helped the FBI but there is certainly no love lost between them and Jon. As a character I like him, a LOT! As a character he is a typical lead hero with the skill set to match, although he also seemingly lives off adrenaline and illicit drugs, still...what's not to love! When he hears his ex-Delta Forces buddy Tiny has been killed in a car accident because he was drunk, Jon isn't buying it. The story is then set as Jon tries to prove Tiny's innocence and in doing so uncovers a terrorist cell.

Martha Meyerstein who is with the FBI also makes a comeback as part of her task is to get Reznick off the grid and out of the FBI's way while they hunt the cell. Of course nothing is quite that straightforward and as always Jon doesn't make anybody's life easy. The plot contains plenty of thrills and spills and the action is packed in. Turner certainly knows how to create a fast paced and action packed book and this one certasinly had me turning the pages.

The only thing I noticed is that this book seemed short (although packed to the gills) and when I checked it was just shy of 270 pages. I confess I would have liked it to be a longer story as I felt like it could have been a lot more than it was (if that makes sense). Having said that, Turner is becoming another Simon Kernick for me. A book where there isn't necessarily the most original plots, but one that captures your attention. He is a great storyteller and has created a series that is easy to get hooked on. For me, I'll be moving on to the next book in the series 'Hard Way' as soon as possible! Also, one of the best things is that the first three books in the series are less than a pound on Kindle! BARGAIN!!!

So why is the best ?

What makes a great action book?

Reznick is being chased by the Iranians, Reznick is chasing the Iranian's. So we have a fast paced action packed book with lots of twists and turns. Lots of rather nasty villains.

What also, to me, makes this book better is a larger role in this book for Martha Meyerstein, who we get to know better each book.

So if we have a book that is fast paced from the start, keeps that pace going and keeps the tension going as well as the action and also has nasty villains. Then we have a five star book.
