This book is a group of short stories about a Reverend who inherits money and then becomes a private detective.. I really feel it would have been better if he stayed a Reverend and solved mysteries but I guess that was done with Father Dowling and Brown. It is good for quick reads (short stories). I was not overly involved in it and though I liked the character it was missing something.
This was a cute read. I was drawn to the book because of the dog on the cover & didn't really read the blurb. Even though this isn't my favorite genre of books I enjoyed it.
I will check out the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A relatively easy to read story of an enjoyable, bumbling character who changes professions to become a private investigator. While a bit rambling itself, the story was enjoyable, nothing deep, just pure entertainment. Since this is the first book in the series, I expect further stories will tighten up the writing and characters.
