Take Me Home was a cute and touching story about a woman finding love when she was least expecting it and another giving love a chance when she was thought she wasn’t ready. It was sweet without being saccharine and I adored both these women and rooted for them to work out their issues.

The book itself is actually more of a novella, but what really stood out for me was that for such a short story, the feelings and romance didn’t feel forced. It flowed naturally and I felt the attraction between these two, as well as the confusion over the emotions that one character was not ready to experience. The only part I found lacking was that I would have liked to gain a better understanding of Keighley’s background. She always alluded to the fact that she was awkward or that she rushed relationships, but I never felt as if I got a good picture of her. She seemed like a level headed and normal (if somewhat needy) woman, who was just looking for love and acceptance. She was caring, an animal lover (which is always a plus in my book), and had the support of most of her family, but the person that seemed to be the hardest on her was herself.

Brooke, on the other hand, I could envision perfectly. She was independent and quirky and had a mouth on her that cracked me up. She had a tough exterior and a good heart that she was fiercely protecting. These two people were good together, the sex was steamy, and I enjoyed this quick little story.

Although the second story in a series, the correlation to the first book was only a loose association to a tattoo parlor where Brooke worked. This could absolutely be read as a stand-alone, although the first book, Far From Home, was just as thoughtful, touching and well written that it is certainly worth the read.

Lorelie Brown’s writing style is beautiful and pulls you into the lives of her characters. I just can’t wait to see what she has in store for the third installment.

Take Me Home was a nice short read and can be read as a standalone.  However, I do suggest reading the first of the Belladonna Ink series called Far From Home as I thought that was also a nice read and so far my favourite of the two books.

Although a novella, the author is able to give readers an overall good story.  I wonder what it would've been like as a full length novel as I thought that things between Keighley and Brooke moved a tad fast for my taste.

The main characters are likeable and interesting, so are the secondary characters.  Looking forward to reading any future works regarding the Belladonna Ink series.

As I like to do first when this happens .... #CoverWIN and #BlurbWIN :)

The minute I discovered this series I wanted to devour it from start to finish. I haven't had a chance to pick up Far From Home, but it is on deck.

These two ladies were a delight to read. The story is short but also packs a punch. It's sexy and witty and just a lot of fun. They felt very kismet to me and so opposite. It was fun to read them both getting what they least expected out of each other. However, the story should probably have been a bit longer. How long I don't know, but there is a lot of insta going on here that didn't quite ring true to me. I also think with this story, we might have benefited a bit with dual POV. It would have added depth to their journey, IMO.

Overall, I enjoyed this book very much and I would recommend it to anyone that asked. I love the series description and I hope to read even more!

I really loved this book. It was a sweet holiday romance. I'm excited to check out others in this series.
