After having this book on my shelf for a long time I ended up losing interest on it so I won't be reading this one.

This is a sweet and innocent instalove YA romance. Those who are opposed to instalove may not enjoy it, but I am rather partial to it myself.

Hannah is a little naive and shy, and a bit insecure. She falls for Theo before she even knows who he is, but doesn’t think he would be interested in her, especially once she recognizes him.

Theo is also super sweet and very insecure. He is used to being liked for his celebrity and not for himself. He is drawn to Hannah immediately because she doesn’t make a fuss over his celebrity.

Their story takes the usual twists and turns, but I’m sure everyone can predict how things turn out. While the plot does follow the general formula of a YA romance, it does have some interesting moments, and the characters of Hannah and Theo more than make up for it.

I received this ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.

A quick read about two people who find each other when they least expect it. Hannah is headed home from London to her moms wedding. Theo is heading to the states after a public breakup with his girlfriend and band mates. When Hannah meets Theo she faints and from there things begin to blossom. A quick page turner, but with very little character development.

OMG, what took me so long to finally pick this up?! I’ve had this eARC on my kindle for ages, as in, since August, but I haven’t had the time or the mood to pick it up. But because I’ve vowed to be better at reading my galleys this year, and my goal is to read my backlogged ARCs from Netgalley, I decided to start this one, and it was a great decision.

This is a very short book, VERY VERY SHORT, and that was my main complaint about it, because I needed more. Because the writing was absolutely fabulous. Sarah Vance-Tompkins tells this book through the POVs of both Hannah and Theo, though Theo’s are few and far between, and they are on the first person! The narration is so funny and clever. I was laughing the whole time🙂.

The story was so cute and sweet! I was rooting for Hannah and Theo to kiss already, because they were just so adorable together. The characters are not 100% fleshed out, because, again, this is a super short book, but enough of their personalities and issues are dealt with. I really like how Theo helped Hannah to look at what she had a little differently and value life a little more. Hannah, in turn, showed Theo that it was ok to trust again and let go.

Obviously this is a case of instant attraction, but these two spend 2 days through 3 airports together, and end up talking about pretty important things for both of them, so the story made sense to me, even if a little too perfect. Speaking of which, I want a 1st class airport lounge like the one described in the book…

Guys, if you’re looking for a fast, small and super cute contemporary romance read, give Kisses on a Paper Airplane a chance.
