I love books about different cities and this sounded like it was going to be amazing.

Sarah West is going through so much with grieving the recent deaths of her parents and going through her own divorce. Her solution is to flee to Paris after she finds a letter. I felt like more information about the characters in the first pages of the book before the story started would have been helpful because I found it confusing.

There was the mystery of the letter plus the love story and the surroundings of Paris. I really like the title because it evokes mystery two as to what she's going to find and experience from Paris.

Will Paris really be the answer to her problems?

Thanks to Ella Carey and publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

Sarah is at a loss. Recovering from the death of her parents and a breakup with a boyfriend, she becomes fascinated by a distant relation from her past. Why did Louisa, a young debutante married to a duke, commit suicide and did it have anything to do with the beautiful courtesan, Marthe de Florian? Sarah decides to stay in Paris to see if she can discover more, but the only way that she can do this is by sharing an apartment with the French artist, Laurent...

Exquisite writing, engaging characters and the Parisian setting make this a lovely book to read. Ella Carey combines the stories of Sarah and Louisa in a fascinating way and captures the atmosphere of Belle Epoque Paris. At first, I thought that the story is a bit cliched, but Carey is more interested in the dark side of Edwardian Paris than the usual tale of sweetness and light.

I intend to read Ella Carey's other books ASAP!

I received this free ebook from Net Galley in return for an honest review.

And engaging story, with some twists that I didn't expect. I found it extremely engrossing and satisfying.

I realize a lot of people like and appreciate soft lit, but I am not among them and found this novel impossible to get into. My tastes favor history and the soft undertones of this romance did absolutely nothing for me.

Great book. Loved this story. "From a Paris Balcony" by Ella Carey is one of the BEST books that I've read this year, and I've read quite a few. Sarah West is trying to find strength with the death of her parents. When she is going through her parent's possessions she finds a letter that tells about previous time in the life of her family. We are taken into the past to the 1890's and back to the present with such a flow that it is easy to follow and enjoyable to read.

Take a trip to Paris in your mind and enjoy the twists and turns of this story. Sometimes hard to follow, but worth the mental exercise, this is engaging and fascinating

This was a pleasant book to read. I like how the author shared both stories in one book. The author tied this book with her other ones well.

I really enjoyed this historical fiction that revolves around Marthe de Florian's apartment in the current day and the Belle Epoque in the past. After her life falls apart, Sarah heads to Paris to uncover why her relative Louisa committed suicide. The story is interesting and kept me interested. I really liked the ending, too.
