I love this series. I hope Capri does more books with these characters, and this premise. Michael Flint is quite intriguing. And I love the idea that there are “heir-hunters” out there in the world. Apparently, it’s really a thing (though I’d be surprised if they leave quite as exciting lives as Michael.) I recommend this book.
I am excited to start this series. This first book was very good with a clever plot. I love the character of Michael Flint and look forward to reading more of his adventures.
Many thanks to Thomas & Mercer and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion
A great book which I cannot rate highly enough. Great characters, and exciting plot. A new must read author.
Blood Trails is the first book in the Heir Hunter series featuring Michael Flint, a forensic genealogist. Another great series written by author Diane Capri. Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer for the advance copy.
Heir Hunter Michael Flint is asked to find a young boy's father by the one little girl in the world that he would do anything for - Maddy.
Then he meets the boy's mother and isn't so sure he wants to have to deal with her. The man, if he is alive, does not know about the child - and, he has no footprints in 6 years. He was believed to have died in a plane crash.
To make matters more interesting, Michael finds that one of his old cases and the clients involved may also be involved in this case. Since he wants more answers to that one, he is in for doing what he can.
Lots of twists and turns in this non-stop action mystery.
I always see reviews that recap the story in the same way, but with different words. To me, after the third, they're too repetitive. So I usually give my reaction to the stories instead.
I've read all books by Ms Capri that I can find. Each one continues to expand my appreciation for the amount of work she puts into each book. Not only are they fast paced and keep me glued to the book, but there is always something that I learn as a result of the research she does.
So glad I ran across this author!
Diane Capri is a new author to me and this first book in the Heir Hunter series has left me in doubt that I should seek out more of her work. The main character Michael Flint was introduced in a story line that moved at a rapid pace throughout the 72 hours deadline given to him to find the missing heir. Whilst I wasn't fully convinced by the ease in which significant clues were being identified, the narrative absorbed the reader into the plot and left me satisfied by the time I had reached the final page of the book. As a Jack Reacher fan, I shall now be looking for copies of her books in the Hunt For Reacher series.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
