I am really enjoying these little snippets of lessons as daily devotions. I especially enjoy the background of the meanings of Hebrew words and how they apply to life. All of the lessons are thought-provoking even if I don't end up agreeing with everything. My husband and kids have liked the ones I've shared out loud with them over the dinner table and they have made for some great discussion starters. I can see us reading these for years to come!

I have been pleasantly surprised by this. It isn't your typical devotional type book. It has a daily revelation about a Biblical mystery; an in depth look at a Bible passage or an in-depth look at a word from the Bible. Each message includes Bible verses to look up from the Old and New Testament.

The book has a story about a searcher who meets a teacher who teaches him something every day. While I wasn't really thrilled with this backstory, It does work, and I did find that I look forward to each message.
