I really enjoyed this story. Especially Cade and Tasha's connection and how the author went about bringing it to the page. I appreciated the fact that the romance between theses two didn't feel rushed and that I got to experience first-hand how they came to be together. I especially enjoyed watching as Cade came to accept himself and his newfound reality and eventually allowed himself to explore what was growing between him and Tasha. He was a very troubled man and his journey was a treat to read for me. Of course, the chemistry between theses two was sizzling hot and their attraction was palpable throughout their every interaction, but it was those candid moments and intimate conversations that ultimately helped me become invested in their story.
All in all, a steamy romantic read.
What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. The word building was phenomenal in this book. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.
This was a cute premise of a book. Cade has an accident and can not really speak. He has a stutter and doesn't speak to many people. Tasah was there the night of the accident and won't give up on Cade, She agrees to help him speak again. I am not really sure why, she is not qualified since she is bot a speech therapist. And from there, the story lost me.
It was a acute idea, but fell through.
Wow, Shut Up and Kiss Me by Jessica Lemmon was such a powerful book in that one night changed both of these characters lives forever. I’m always intrigued by romances where they couple has a less than stellar history and that’s the case in this book, but one puts that aside in the other’s time of need and out of that comes a friendship and more. This book was complex, emotional and sexy and through it all two people discovered they were stronger than they thought they were, able to move past well…the past, and open themselves up to not only a new reality but the possibility of love.
A freak accident while street racing left Caden Wilson broken in more ways than one, and while he’s healed physically his speech is still impaired and the stuttering is unacceptable to him. He’s scrapped his plans to become a lawyer and for the time being he is working on his new car and bussing tables at his half-brother’s restaurant. He also spends a lot of time dodging the help of Tasha Montgomery who his father has hired to help him with his speech while she finishes her degree as a physical therapy assistant.
I really loved Tasha’s bold and sassy attitude and the fact that she really didn’t let Cade’s indifference and bad attitude get to her. I admired the fact that despite not being a speech therapist, she researched and tried to learn various ways of reaching him and even went so far as to contact his former therapists. While the method that finally broke through his barrier was a bit unorthodox, she kind of proved not all of Caden’s issues were physical that a book portion of them were mental. I enjoyed their journey and the fact that they both had to take a good, hard look at themselves and what made them happy, what they could deal with, what was worth fighting for and what was worth letting go.
Packed with emotion, but also a lot of steamy, sensual fun I loved Shut Up and Kiss Me.
Sweet and sexy connection between Tasha and Cade. Loved the set-up of Tasha helping Cade with his speech issues after his car accident. Loved how supportive she is of him. Before the accident, they got off on the wrong foot; Cade was trying to fit in, so he was a bit of frat guy type douche and used some not so charming line on Tasha. Tasha is a rich girl, but she’s got a good heart. She has an ex that she was blind to how horrible he was; I wish she wouldn’t have let him affect her so much, but she does show strength. It may take her a little to stand up for herself, but she doesn’t let anyone railroad her. Loved Cade’s gruffness; he still has the charm, but it’s more genuine than before his accident. He’s a sweetie. Cade and Tasha are adorable together. Overall, a heartfelt story with some sexy times. Entertaining read.
Shut Up and Kiss Me is the second book in the Lost Boys series and can be read as a stand alone.
I enjoyed the story and the character's. This is a quick read and over enjoyable story.
I have not had a chance to read this book, Once I have gotten a chance to read it I will edit this review to reflect my thoughts and feeling on the book.
I have read several books by Mrs. Lemmon and have loved all the books. For some reason I could not connect with the characters in this book. I liked Tasha but Cade I didn't really care for. He was very spoiled and not driven at all. I honestly barely finished this book.
Amazing book! I loved this sweet and sexy romance. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Cade and Tasha's story. Jessica's writing was exceptional. The characters were very likable; they were genuine and honest. Cade was such an interesting character and Tasha was such a strong heroine. I highly recommend this book.
Shut Up and Kiss Me left me breathless. I thought Cade Wilson deserved what happened to him, because he was quite the rude annoying bad boy in the beginning. Oh boy, I was a fool thinking about it. I was so wrong and judgmental and quick to assume the worst about Cade. Thank goodness, Tasha Montgomery shed the light for me.
Tasha may be the rich girl on the block, with a father giving everything she needed and wanted. You'd think he was a doting loving father, but let me tell, he wasn't at all, not even close. And Tasha didn't want to be dependent on him all her life. She wanted to prove that she could be someone else and could stand on her own, without her father's wealth and indiscretions.
Cade was in a horrific car accident that left me speechless... literally. He stopped talking when he began to form speech defects, like stuttering and faltering on words. So his father had hired Tasha to help him with his issues. Except Tasha wasn't a speech therapist, no, but she went above and beyond to help Cade regain what he lost.
Slowly Cade recouped and recovered, but his anger management issues caused him to falter and attack Tasha, verbally, painfully. All hopes for a better Cade Wilson were lost, and I couldn't blame Tasha for giving up hope.
This story was beautifully written and the characters were amazingly depicted. I loved the angst and trepidation that Cade protrayed. I loved Tasha's stubbornness and tenacity with her patient's situation. I loved how they both endured the unnecessary burdens they were struggling with. I loved how the author made the scenes go from dramatic to crazy and then steamy and sweet, leaving the reader breathless and speechless.
And yes, this is probably one of my favorite reads this year. Shut Up and Kiss Me is the second book in the Lost Boys series, but I assure you I will read the first one soon and then the next books to come.
Kade and Tasha are my favorite couple right now. I love how Tasha helps Kade discover what he needs and expects him to move on and I love how Kade learns from his injuries. They get a good HEA. I highly recommend this book.
Caden was a slick tongued, law student got into an bad car accident and lost his voice. He was in the hospital for months and need rehab but he refused all the therapist until Tasha Montgomery.
Once Caden used his famous one line to Tasha at his fraternity party and she flat out ignored him. That was than and now she is coming once a week to Caden to help him speak. Once they are in "therapy session", he won't cooperate with Tasha and she ends up doing her homework. Tasha was finishing her physical therapy degree and she wants Caden to be her success story but he is not working with her nor listening to her. But she is persistent at trying.
One day Tasha's father finds out Tasha is with Caden, he forbids for her to see him and threaten to take away everything from her. Tasha has been living on her own but she is barely making it and she is worried he would stop her tuition but she can't stop seeing Caden.. Tasha would like to see Caden before the accident.
Caden can't speak without stuttering and he is afraid he won't be back to how he was before the accident. His dream of becoming a lawyer is slipping away.
It started as simple vowel exercises but it became very heated kissing session for both. So she comes up with "new" way of treating... ..After the kisses, he stopped stuttering and he was slowly gaining his confidence back and they are becoming more than just friends and patient.
As more Tasha get to know Caden, she realizes he is not the person she though in college. She is slowly falling for Caden but her ex-boyfriend belittle Tasha's body and everything else, she doesn't feel confident in front of Caden but he helps her to overcome all the body issues she felt before.
Now, Caden wants to pursue Tasha more than a friend but things are taking different turn.. They were so good together but when he realizes his passions is not the law anymore and he is afraid she won't like blue collar worker.
Simple misunderstanding of their view on goals split them apart.. Both wants someone in their lives but will it be to each other??
I did enjoy reading the First series about Caden's half brother Devlin and Tasha's best friend . This was as much fun as the first one with different flare. I would recommend for summer hot reading!!!
Daddy's little rich girl - I had a hard time relating to Tasha and therefore couldn't give this 5 stars as I liked the unique storyline.
Cade is a Law student and looking forward to practicing law. All that could change when he's involved in an accident. Yes, he has physical injuries that will heal but what has happened to his voice?! How's he going to practice law if he stutters.
Tasha enters the story as a Physical Therapist that Cade's dad hires to help Cade. But, she's a Physical Therapist not a Speech Therapist. This could be interesting. There's tension between Cade and Tasha but, more importantly, there are sparks between them!!
A quick read, I found this book very enjoyable! Loved the characters and their interaction with each other. Thank goodness this can be read as a stand alone!
Thanks to Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept via NetGalley for a copy of this book.
Shut Up and Kiss Me is a sexy romance that unites Tasha Montgomery a physiotherapy specialist and Caden Wilson a college student with a silver tongue, set on becoming a successful lawyer, but who had his plans derailed when a street race gone bad nearly killed him. That last race was his undoing. Now, Cade had to relearn everything from swallowing to speaking without a stutter. After going through an endless list of therapists, Cade's dad hires Tasha to help him. Tasha saw what the accident did to Cade's confidence and social life. He had become a recluse and his friends had all but abandoned him. Determined to help him overcome his injuries, Tasha sets out to become his speech therapist, even when that is not what she does. A little creative in her therapy, Tasha exploits the attraction between them to prove to Cade that if he just relaxes and does some tongue exercises, he will be fine. Kissing becomes quite the requirement in their routine and soon speaking comes back to this bad boy who will change Tasha's life forever. Bringing back Devlin and Rena, the second installment of the Lost Boys Series, builds on love, family and second chances. A really good read…
This is the third book by this author that I've read and the only one that I didn't like at all. I made it about 40% of the way through before I gave up. While the story line was very interesting, the story itself moved very slow. I couldn't stay interested in the book long enough to make it through the book unfortunately.
For me, this author is hit or miss. Either the story is so amazing you can't put it down, or it's so amazing that you can't put it down.
I really loved this book was fab an very well written with great characters cant wait for more from this author. would recommended
Didn't have a chance to read the first book in the series, but had no problems with following the story line.
You can read it as a standalone. Overall, this was a very enjoyable and fun read, but maybe just a little bit rushed in the beginning.
I absolutely loved getting to watch Cade and Tasha finally give in to all that chemistry! Cade was stubborn and sexy and did NOT want to admit how much he needed Tasha after his "silver tongue" no longer had quite the same shine. Tasha was quick-witted and sassy which I adore in an MC.
As always, Lemmon has no problem delivering a captivating story, witty dialogue, and a steamy romance all wrapped up in one!
