Cade was in an accident and he lost his ability to speak or he just won’t talk. He is sort of lost. How can he be a lawyer when he can’t even talk? So this weighs heavily on him and he tends to take it out on others, including Tasha. But Tasha is stubborn. She is the only person, except his father, who stood by him. She was hired by Cade’s father to help him learn how to talk again and that is exactly what she planned to do. Most of the time, since Cade will not participate in the therapy she has planned she just does her homework. Finally one night Cade shows up on Tasha’s doorstep asking for help. As they spend more time with each other, there relationship blooms. This is the second book in the series but you do not need to read the first one to enjoy this one. I do like the author weaves in characters from the other story. Overall good solid story. Review posted on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Ibooks and Google Play.

I have to say it I just love it when Jessica Lemmons brings back characters from her previous books and new ones making everything complete. We saw a little bit of Cade in Devlin`s story and this one is all Cade. I loved that here is a guy who is working so hard to be who he used to be but struggling along the way. Tasha now is a woman with so much patience for Cade may be hot and sexy but stubborn as well. I loved the kind of therapy they went through and boy talk about hot. If you looking for a guy who is down on his luck and looking for a second chance at love Jessica Lemmon is the author to go to. Cannot wait to see what else is in store from this talented author. Loved it.

Wonderfully sweet, sexy romance…Loved it!...5+stars!

Caden’s future plan of being a lawyer ends when he gets hurt in a street race accident. Once a boisterous frat boy full of conceit and arrogance, he’s become a man withdrawn and angry long after his body has healed. But his voice is broken, the stammering and stuttering is an embarrassing and frustrating ordeal for Caden.

Tasha Montgomery and Caden Wilson have a brief history. But it’s more Cade being cocksure and teasing, trying to get her to go out with him. Good girl Tasha never falls for it, though. She’s all about finishing school to become a physical therapist after graduation. In light of Cade’s resistance to therapy, his dad hires Tasha to help in his recovery. Tasha’s a great friend and Cade realizes she’s been right there from the start since the accident when all his friends abandoned him.

As they spend more time together, they never imagined enjoying each other’s company. Cade brings out Tasha’s inner bad girl. I just loved the teasing heat that builds between these two friends. Tasha realizes Cade is everything she never knew she wanted. I had to chuckle over the things that ran through Cade’s mind. As Tasha introduces oral therapy, Cade’s thinking more in the line of “sexual healing”. It sure is working wonders for Cade’s confidence.

Shut Up and Kiss Me is a wonderful friends to lovers romance with a unique, and delightful story line. I love how Tasha never gives up on Caden, even when he’s frustrated and being taciturn. I appreciate how Ms. Lemmon begins their relationship with a slow burn of attraction and sexual tension, and reading how their story unfolds. Ms. Lemmon pens a wonderful romance with all the feels.

Wow, Shut Up and Kiss Me by Jessica Lemmon was such a powerful book in that one night changed both of these characters lives forever. I’m always intrigued by romances where they couple has a less than stellar history and that’s the case in this book, but one puts that aside in the other’s time of need and out of that comes a friendship and more. This book was complex, emotional and sexy and through it all two people discovered they were stronger than they thought they were, able to move past well…the past, and open themselves up to not only a new reality but the possibility of love.
A freak accident while street racing left Caden Wilson broken in more ways than one, and while he’s healed physically his speech is still impaired and the stuttering is unacceptable to him. He’s scrapped his plans to become a lawyer and for the time being he is working on his new car and bussing tables at his half-brother’s restaurant. He also spends a lot of time dodging the help of Tasha Montgomery who his father has hired to help him with his speech while she finishes her degree as a physical therapy assistant.
I really loved Tasha’s bold and sassy attitude and the fact that she really didn’t let Cade’s indifference and bad attitude get to her. I admired the fact that despite not being a speech therapist, she researched and tried to learn various ways of reaching him and even went so far as to contact his former therapists. While the method that finally broke through his barrier was a bit unorthodox, she kind of proved not all of Caden’s issues were physical that a book portion of them were mental. I enjoyed their journey and the fact that they both had to take a good, hard look at themselves and what made them happy, what they could deal with, what was worth fighting for and what was worth letting go.
Packed with emotion, but also a lot of steamy, sensual fun I loved Shut Up and Kiss Me.

Fun, exhilarating and different than what I usually read. Looking forward to more from this author.

Another winner from an author that is quickly becoming an automatic one-click for me. This story intrigued me from the blurb alone and I'm so glad I got an opportunity to read this book. Cade is a tough somewhat egotistical guy who thinks he's leaving town to finish his education when he takes one last street race...which alters the course of his life...permanently!

Tasha is the woman who "fixes him" from this accident and in the process, they fall in love. She's got a pure heart and is just the woman for Cade. This is was a quick moving story and I read it in one sitting. Ms. Lemon does a phenomenal job of character and story developing engaging the reader from the get go!

Shut Up and Kiss Me is the second novel in the Lost Boys series by Jessica Lemmon. The romance was delivered in dual narratives and provided a breath of fresh air to the New Adult genre. With its likable characters, low angst and feel-good story Shut Up and Kiss Me delivered the perfect escape.

Cade Wilson is the perfect mix of bad boy/good guy. Until a street race left him injured, he was a law student with a plan. He is recovering from his physical injuries and has had time to reevaluate things. The accident left him with a speech problem that includes a stutter. He hasn’t exactly been the ideal patient. His Dad hires Tasha Montgomery, a friend and student working towards her physical therapy degree since Cade seems to at least connect with her.

Lemmon’s characters had me rooting for an HEA. The romance built slowly beginning with trust as Cade opened up and Tasha let him in. Despite issues with his speech, I enjoyed the way this couple communicated. Lemmon kept their interaction free of the typical drama found in this genre, and I appreciated seeing communication. Even though both are adults, there is interaction with both sets of parents. Lemmon painted a realistic portrait even when conflict arose.

In Shut Up and Kiss Me Lemmon pulled me in, offering moments of laughter, frustration, tears and plenty of curl your toes moments. The tale flowed back and forth between their perspectives by chapter breaks. I enjoy dual perspectives, particularly in this type of romance, as it allows me to connect. Friends, outside influences, and Cade’s stubbornness caused some conflict, but it was realistic and executed perfectly allowing me to slip in and enjoy the romance.

Jessica Lemmon continues to be an author that delivers novels that allow me to escape for a few hours and enjoy. For this reason, she is on my auto-buy list.

Nothing terribly novel or arresting in the plot or romance, however I still enjoyed the story and the characters.

This story was simple and sweet and made me feel just the right blend of emotions. Happy, annoyed, sad, pissed off and finally satisfied. With just the right amount of sexy and a touch of fun this was a great story to read on a lazy, rainy Tuesday.

A book that I could not put down. Cade was in a terrible accident that has left him with a speech impediment, his dad hires therapist, Tasha to help him over come this impediment. Cade has gone through quite a few therapists but Tasha will not give up on him. Both are struggling with life in general and they soon find comfort in each other.

This is the second book in the Lost Boys series but can be read as a stand alone. I did not read the first book, but will now go back and read. Excellent writing style that will keep you turning the pages.

Both Cade and Tasha were incredibly immature and highly unlikable. I struggled to finish the book and waited a longtime before I could attempt the review. The sex scenes were juvenile at best. Look, I get her character Cade is recuperating and lives at home with his dad. But to tell his girl to be quiet so his dad can't hear her cause she's a screamer is a bit much. Now she's no better. She's hiding her relationship so her dad won't cut her off. Really? A grown woman can't get a job and pay her way so she can be with someone who matters or better yet to have some self 'respect? Geez. Silly. All of it.

WOW, this book was so worth the wait even though it felt like forever waiting for it!
We first met Cade and Tasha in Fighting for Devlin, Cade is Devlin's half-brother and Tasha is Rena's best friend. In Fighting for Devlin Cade was in a near fatal accident and now we find out exactly what happened to him.

Cade's accident during an illegal street race left him battered, bruised, and without a voice. He will heal from his injuries but how can he be the lawyer he was planning on being if he cannot speak without a severe stutter? His nickname of sliver-tongued fox no longer applies to him because of his impediment.

At the crash site all of Cade's friends took off and left him there, but not Tasha she stayed with him until Emergency Services showed up even though they weren't friends, in fact they didn't like one another much at all. Tasha is studying to be a physical therapist and she is an assistant PT at a facility so she knows just how much intense therapy its going to take to get Cade back on his feet. What she hadn't expected is for Cade's father to hire her to help him with his speech therapy.

I have to say that Cade wasn't a very good patient for Tasha but that didn't stop the sexual chemistry between the two of them from building. I found it very enjoyable to watch them go from acquaintances, to a therapist/patient relationship, to friends, to lovers. They definitely covered all the bases with this story. It had me laughing out loud with some of the "Oral Exercises" Tasha was trying to get Cade to perform, it also had me shedding a few tears from time to time.

While this is the second book in the Lost Boys Series it can be read as a stand-alone. I prefer to read the series in order that way you have the character background from the prior books but it's not a necessity with this book but I have a feeling once you read this book you will want to go back and read Fighting for Devlin....just sayin'

4.5 stars Steamy and sensual tales are the standard for this talented author, and the second Lost Boys delivered in gangbusters. Sweet Tasha had learned her lesson about dating handsome players. She had been burned badly by her last boyfriend Tony. While she'd been planning their future together he'd been making plans with other girls who also thought they were his one and only. Duh. Luckily she'd finally caught on, but that didn't make it easy seeing him around school.

Cade Wilson was a tattooed former street car racer who'd been involved in a life-changing car accident that nearly cost him his life. While he'd recovered physically, he still wasn't able to speak without a lot of trouble and a stutter. His law school plans were just another consequence from the accident, and seeing his friends moving forward with their plans to rent the dream office downtown didn't sit well with him. Why were they moving in with their lives without even looking back to see if he could catch up?

When Tasha kept showing up at the hospital, at first he was irritated, thinking all he saw was pity in her blue eyes. As he got to know her better, though, he realized she was just as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside--and he was ready to have her in his life. But he'd been burned by a spoiled rich girl before. Would she come through for him, or was he doomed to repeat his mistake?

Having read the previous book in this series, I was already aware of the things that had brought them to this place, but I don't think it is necessary to have read the first one.

I loved this fast-paced story about this unlikely couple who prove once again that opposites attract. Read it!

I loved this book! A fantastic romance with a hero who needs healing and a strong heroine. This was so good - I loved Cade and Tasha! Highly recommend!

Jessica Lemmon wrote a unique story line, a hero that is learning to speak again. Cade was a pre-law college student involved in street racing. An accident later he is having to relearn many things including speaking. Can Tasha a girl he thought was a stuck richie rich help him? Cade and Tasha are a cute couple that you want to work out. Learning to speak is the least of Cade problems, learning to trust and move on is the issue.
