A cute story with some funny moments. Requested this because I like romance, and stories with a musical element to them. Unfortunately, I have to say that this book wasn't really for me. While it was decent, it's not very memorable.

Another amazing series debut! Matt and Viv were so easy to fall in love with, I couldn't put the book down! Samantha Chase uses humor and deep emotion to weave a story full of heart. I can't wait to catch up with Matt and Riley as we get more Band on the Run books!!!

Love the Shaughnessy family!! Samantha Chase has a way of weaving the stories between the Shaughnessy family. Each book feels new and fresh.

One More Kiss was a fun read. Matt and Vivienne were so cute together!
Matt is in the band Shaughnessy - if you have read This Is Our Song then you know frontman Riley already and will see him pop up again in this story! The band had decided to take a break and Matt moved on to bigger and better...only it wasn't bigger and definitely not better. He flopped. Big time and the media will not let him forget it. This is the first time he has had to deal with this so he doesn't really know what to do. When it might start affecting the rest of the band members he is told to go hide out somewhere until this all blows over.
When Matt's best friend Aaron offers him a secluded place to stay while he is out of town Matt is eventually talked into it. The problem? It is back in his hometown, somewhere he has not returned to once since he left at 18. He has some demon to fight for sure, but it is somewhere to hide out and maybe take a break and work through some things.
Only things don't work out the way Matt plans. For one thing he did not expect Aaron's sister, Vivienne, to be moving into the guesthouse she just finished remodeling. Or the spark that is there between them. Or Vivianne seemingly not liking him for some reason...though there is something there in the back of his mind. Something he might have forgotten as he was living the rock star lifestyle.
I really enjoyed this story. Vivienne really likes Matt, but she is hesitant to start anything with him. She has always like him, but things don't always work out the way you might want. And she is a planner. She makes her lists, keeps everything just so, she liked everything in its place. Only Matt shakes that up a little bit. She just got her dream job, her dream house, everything is falling into place. Can she really trust Matt? And what happens when he goes back to his real life? Should she take a chance on him?
These two were really cute together. They both have things they need to work on, but together they are better than they were. Another great read from this author.

Love Matt and Vivienne’s love story. Sweet heartwarming story. Vivienne is attracted to her brother’s best friend. Matt is also attracted to Vivienne but dealing with past, current and future. They both provide a lot more for each other than they expected. Recommended read.
Edit

I've been a fan of Samantha Chase's books for years and this book did not disappoint! I can hardly wait to see where she takes this series next!

This book was really interesting. I look forward to reading more from this author!

I didn't feel much of a connection to these characters and had a hard time getting into the story... Just not really for me.

Matt Reed is feeling the strain of his failed solo project that he thought was going to be a big hit on Broadway. Instead it was a big flop closing in three nights and the press will not leave him alone. He needs to get out of New York, but the only place is from his friend from his home town and he has not been back in 12 years. So he goes back to his home town after talking to Aaron and he runs into his younger sister Vivienne. The problem for her is that Matt does not remember the encounter that they had two years before in his dressing room after the band that he was with finished their set for the last tour together. Now she does not want to face him, let alone be left by her brother for three weeks with him. The problem comes in when Matt does remember the dressing room. Now he must make her feel that she is the woman he wants to be with while also saving his music career. If any of you have read the Shaughnessy’s Brother’s series from this author book #4 about Riley the musician. This book picks up after that story with the band members off doing their own things not all good. This book has both romance between Matt and Vivienne, but also how Matt must get things settled from his past that are right there in his home. He won’t be able to move forward with anything until he does, and he definitely wants a future with Vivienne. Overall this is a good book. I like the two lead characters and the dialogue that they have. I also liked a touching moment for her when he cooked for her. You have to read the book to understand the importance. A very good story.

In the very short I thought it was a very good book that had lots of drama suspense.

One More Kiss is the first book in a new "Band on the Run" series, so I am pretty excited after reading this first one that it will be continuing. One More Kiss is about Matt (or "Matty") Reed who was in a band and decided to take some time off from the band to do a Broadway show but when things didn't go according to plan he ended up laying low in his home town while waiting for someone else to become the next scandal. Matt moves in with his best friend Aaron and his sister Vivienne is moving in to the guest house. The two once shared a kiss but both seem to be not wanting to bring it up and wondering if each other even remembers. When Aaron has to head off to London, it leaves Matt and Vivienne alone together. Things start off friendly but end up turning into something more between them. While the story did have some closure, it also left it open ended with a few story lines that need to be more explained as well opening it up for the rest of the books in the series. I am not sure if they will continue to follow Matt and Vivienne in Matt's next career move or if they may follow some of the other members in the band but I am looking forward to finding out and will for sure be keeping an eye out for when Book #2 is released.
I liked that this story line seemed more realistic and was more focused on the off stage life than the on stage and on tour life (although I imagine this may come in to play in later books) and the relationship was able to happen more naturally than forced in a more fast paced tour setting.
I received a free e-copy in order to write this review, I was not otherwise compensated.

If you thought the Shaughnessy Brothers were must read than download this book and find out what's going on in the band. How will these men learn to live with the choices they've made and be the men they're meant to be.
A look into the life of a rockstar at it's finest!

Samantha Chase has another winning series on her hands in 'Shaughnessy: Band on the Run Book 1' in "One More Kiss". Matt and Vivienne had a small history between them, though unknown to Vivienne's brother, who is Matt's best friend. The banter between them was fun with each working on facing their own demons and finding their happiness. Besides the fun of seeing them fall in love, there are some familiar faces that gives the story more conflict, romance, friendship, heartbreak and healing for Matt and Vivienne. The book is descriptive, and for me, it enriches the story and really brings you into their HEA without feeling like you missed something along the way. It was enjoyable to see Riley and Savannah in the story, and I look forward to reading the other band members finding their way in this series. I would like to thank NetGalley and Sourcebooks for gifting me "One More Kiss". My opinion is my own. This is mine...5 Stars!

Matt Reed was living the dream until a bad career move sends him back to his hometown for much-needed privacy. Instead, he finds someone he never expected: the woman whose steamy kiss he remembers like it was yesterday.
Vivienne Forrester finally has her life in order... until Matt moves back to town. She doesn't want to think about the time she threw caution to the wind with him, but running into him everywhere, it's impossible not to...
Some thoughts about Samantha Chase's books - I FREAKING LOVE THEM!!! I don't just think that because I've met her and she's FREAKING AWESOME!! It's because her writing it just so doggone good. Where other people have criticized her for being sweet and sappy - I really love that. I love that all her books are interconnected and weave somewhat with each other.
About this book that I really loved was the brother's best friend/sister trope that everyone says has been done. Yes, it's been done but it's one of my favorites if done right and Samantha did a great job because they didn't have insta-love in this. Which I honestly hate nowadays in books!! It's so overused that I really want to throw my kindle at the wall sometimes. It took this couple a long while to see what was right in front of their noses. Matt was clueless at times and endearing because of it. He came home over something that happened that was life-altering and Viv remembers a kiss they shared but Matt doesn't. What happens when you have two people that are on paper not right for each other? If you want a book that has heart, heat, sweet, and a great hero and heroine - this is that book. Samantha is always a wonderful read and pick for me.
I was given a copy of this ARC from the publisher on NetGalley for an honest review. All of the above comments are my express opinions and no one else's.

Samantha Chase is a new to me author, but when I was sent the information about her newest release, I knew One More Kiss was right up my alley. I adore the older brother's best friend falling for the younger sister troupe, and Ms. Chase did a great job with Matt and Vivienne's story. As One More Kiss was my first book by Samantha Chase, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. I love reading a new to me author and then falling in love with their voice.
I love there was a history between Matt and Vivienne, even if Matt only remembered her from when they were kids. Yes, Vivienne was initially a little hostile with Matt, but she soon let that go and I enjoyed watching them become friends. I liked they were friends first before they gave into their attraction to one another. Matt and Vivienne had really great chemistry, and I think they were so good together because they started out as friends.
One More Kiss was a great start to Ms. Chase's newest series. I already know I want to go back and read so many books on her backlist, and I also can't wait to read more books in the Band on the Run series.
Rating: 4 Stars (B+)

Samantha Chase has quickly become one of those authors that is an automatic AUTO-BUY for me. Her books truly do not disappoint, and One More Kiss was no exception!
Matt and Vivienne's story touched on so many things that are important to me as a reader AND in my own personal relationships. The two of them had to work together to build their relationship, and it wasn't extremely easy like some books make relationships out to be. The book had plenty of heat, and HELLO, who doesn't love a story about a rockstar and the woman that brings him to his knees.
This book had me hooked from the beginning, I will definitely be re-reading it again asap!

Samantha Chase has started a new series and it sounded awesome so I couldn't wait to dive in. It's staring hot, rock stars whose lives are all kinds of chaos.
The first book in the series, One More Kiss is about the band's guitarist, Matt. His arrogance and need for independence caused him to make an almost fatal error to his once thriving career. Not only did his desire to be the lead fail miserably but the bad press surrounding the situation will not leave him alone.
So he returns home in hopes that the mess will blow over. Matt had no idea that his hiding spot would bring Vivienne - his best friend's sister - back into his life and that he would be so attracted to her. He also didn't know that he would find himself completely immersed in her world and love being there.
Matt and Vivienne's story is charming and sweet. Together they discover who they truly are and what they want from their lives. It's an incredible journey start to finish. Plus their book is filled with one enticing and hot as hell romance.
Overall, I loved my time with this couple and I highly recommend that everyone start this series. One-click your copy of One More Kiss today!

What happens when the one guy you took on a chance on doesn't remember you at all?
Well Vi finds out when her brother's best friend comes to hide out from the public scrutiny for a month and he doesn't even remember the one kiss that change her life, two years ago.
Matty Reed is a rock superstar, part of the infamous Shaughnessy Band. With Riley Shaughnessy off doing a solo tour, Matty decides to try his hand in Broadway and fails miserably. Now the press is wondering if Matty and the rest of the band are just a front for a group of talent-less guys due to his failure. So when his best friend gives him a chance to come and hid out at his fortress he built in their old hometown, he takes it. What he wasn't expecting was to find his little sister Vi there too. There's just something that seems so familiar with her, like he's seen her before the years that have gone by with them as kids.
Vi can't believe that Matty Reed just walked into her brother's house. The last time she saw him was two years ago, backstage as she made out with him before being thrown out by his manager and left wondering what just happened. Sure it was impulsive and something she never would have done if she had thought it all out... but now here is was and he didn't even remember her. How embarrassing. Not only that, now she was going to be stuck playing host to him, while he brother left to go overseas.
Matt is drawn to Vi. He can feel the sparks between the two of them, but can she? There's only one way to find out... and then it hits him!
Thing progress between Vi and Matt during the month her brother is away. As the spotlight comes off of Matt - will he be willing to stick around or was Vi just a passing phase?
I LOVED Matt and Vi hard. This book although it is a spin off of the Shaughnessy Brother's books, can totally be read as a standalone. Vi is hardheaded and stubborn and just the thing Matt need to kick himself in the butt and take down some of the barriers he's been hiding behind. Vi doesn't care that he's famous. She sees him for him. But Matt has demons that he's not too sure he can overcome with coming back home. Will he be able to finally find a home with Vi or will the demons chase him out of town before he ever gets to tell Vi how he really feels?
Love Samantha Chase and can never get enough of her brand of love.

Matt Reed is hiding out after blistering media attacks on both his horrible performance on Broadway and questions about whether or not his talent with the band Shaughnessy is exaggerated. While hiding out at his friend Aaron's home, he's reunited with Aaron's sister Vivienne, who he hadn't seen since she was a kid...or has it been that long? Vivienne is less than thrilled to see Matt; he doesn't seem to remember the scorching kiss they shared 2 years ago at the last Shaughnessy concert. Vivienne things all this cloak and dagger hiding on Matt's part is a little excessive, but she is going out of her way to distance herself from Matt because of their past without explanation.
I think they are both right and wrong at the same time. I think Matt should have pulled on his big boy pants and face his failure while Vivienne should unclench a little and not be so rigid. I think they are both slightly flawed people who are trying to be better, and by the end of the book, I liked them more. But honestly, neither of them impressed me at the start. Part of that is my own bias of rock star characters...many are written as cocky, bad boys whose antics we are suppose to overlook because they are the hero. In this case, I wrongly attached that bias to Matt, who overall is a really good guy. He does help Vivienne lighten up and truly cares about her. He doesn't put out the "rock star" airs and is much smarter and more introspective than the label would imply. Vivienne has her reasons for being self-contained but most are a case of misunderstanding and miscommunication.
Overall, a good 4 star read for me. As a big Samantha Chase fan, I know I'm in for a great story with interesting characters. She definitely did not disappoint with One More Kiss!
