What a great read! I love band books. Rocker dudes are my favorite book boyfriends. I loved the gradual get to know you phase between Matt and Viv. It was slow and stead then got oh so hot. The flower shop scene gave me chills in such a good way, love how that went down! I hope to see more of these characters as the series progresses.

When Matt's solo project ends in failure, he decides to get away for a while. He stays with his best friend and hides out. While there he becomes friends with Vivienne and that friendship turns into more. Matt has had it rough and is very hard on himself with the help of Viv, he begins to see his self differently. I loved these two together and the banter between the two was awesome. This was an emotional read and I was on the verge of tears a lot. I loved it and I can't wait for the next book, this is the beginning to a really great series.

A spin-off from The Shaughnessy Brothers series, Band on the Run brings us “One More Kiss,” the story of Matt Reed, guitarist and vocalist of Riley Shaughnessy’s eponymous band.

With the band on hiatus, Matt Reed tried Broadway but the show closed only after three performances. To avoid bad press and keep a low profile, Matt took refuge in the home of his childhood friend Aaron Forrester.

Within minutes of his arrival, Matt knew that he went from the frying pan to the fire! Aaron’s sister Vivienne was no longer the little girl he remembered. She was all grown up and Matt was in danger of breaking the bro code of “not my sister.” Because if he did, it will be the end of his friendship with Aaron.

An emotional story told in a poetic voice, “One More Kiss” gives readers a glimpse to the private life of successful performers. In their public personas, celebrities are usually well-put together and full of confidence. In “One More Kiss,” Chase relates that no matter how successful you are, you are going to have off days. And those off days usually give you the chance to examine yourself and re-calibrate your life and your goals if needed.

Samantha Chase does not just write romances. She can be the unseen and uncredited Dr. Phil at times! Another great book from the Queen of Sweet Contemporary Romance.

“One More Kiss” is Rated T for Teens. There are no sex scenes in this book, though it is implied that it occurred.

4 1/2 Stars! This is the first book that I have read by Samantha Chase and boy can she write a sweet romance story. Matt is your typical rock star ... booze and a different girl every night. After one concert, his best friend's little sister, Vivienne, comes backstage ... they share a heated kiss and Matt is taken away to the next gig while Vivienne is kicked out if the stadium just like any other groupie. Shortly after Matt's band is taking a break and Matt tries his talents on Broadway ... and fails drastically. With his life being criticized all over the media, he goes into hiding at his best friend's very private estate. Meanwhile, Vivienne is moving into her brother's guest house, only to find out Matt is living in the main house while her brother is away. Matt doesn't remember their kiss from 2 years earlier and that just makes Vivienne all the more mad. But as Matt begins to fall for Vivienne, he remembers the previous kiss as soon as he kisses her again. And Vivienne is afraid he will break her heart ... again.

This is a sweet and heartwarming story and shouldn't be missed. Take Matt and Vivienne's journey with them ... you won't be disappointed.

This is the first book in a new series, Band on the Run, which is a spin-off of the Shaughnessy Brothers series. Each of the band members are taking some time apart to pursue other projects. Guitar player Matt Reed tries working on a play which ends in failure. In order to escape all the bad publicity Matt pretty much goes into hiding to lick his wounds.

His best friend offers him a place to stay. His friend's sister, Vivienne, also lives there. Matt has no memory of seeing her two years earlier. Vivienne has a vivid memory of that time and still feels humiliated and hurt. Once she and Matt share One More Kiss it all comes back to him.

Now Matt will do everything in his power to convince her to give him another chance.

While the band Shaunessey takes a break from touring each member is going their own way. Matty Reed chose a role he was sure he would be good at! When things go awry he winds up in the last place he ever thought he would be. While there he meets up with someone from his past Vivienne. There are ups and downs to this book. I really enjoyed the twists and turns. I love that Samantha Chase writes her characters with humor included. They are human! They hurt, they bleed, they love! If you are looking for a book with a smoking hot rock star then you won't go wrong with this book! I have thoroughly enjoyed the books of Ms. Chase's that I have read so far. I was given an advance copy of this book for my honest review!

Samantha Chase is a favourite, go to author, but this book, the second member of the band to tell his story, Matt Reed, had me laughing, crying, gasping out loud, as I avidly followed Matt & Viviennes story. The trauma of Matt's early years, having his best friend come to the rescue then and now years later, the events unfold as Matt finds so much more than he bargains for whilst in hiding! Highly enjoyable, definite must read.

She is a simple food blogger, He a bad boy musician. She likes things predictable and orderly, chaos seems too follow him. They have nothing in common except for intense attraction.
I really liked the fact that despite the attraction they start of as first being friends and getting to know one another. They both have some issues and they have been dealt with without too much drama, thus not taking anything away from the romance.
One more kiss is a romance based on friendship, trust and self realization. A feel good read that just wraps you in a warm feeling.

Another fantastic read by Samantha Chase. This book is heartfelt and heartwarming. Vivienne is just what Matt needs but she is his best friends sister.. I couldn't put the book down because the book is that good. I highly recommend reading this book.

One More Kiss is the latest & greatest sweet, emotional story to be released by Samantha Chase. It follows a rock star on his journey to finding his true self & his one true love. While the band is on a break, Matt tried to headline a Broadway show & failed miserably. Totally humiliated & wanting to hide out, he headed to the last place anyone would look for him - back to his hometown where his best friend still lives. He didn't realize his best friend's little sister lived there too & she's all grown up.

Ms. Chase has managed to create another great story in the Shaughnessy line. This book has characters that are familiar to readers of her books but won't have them feeling lost if she is a new author. She remains true to her style of writing that tugs at your heart & engages your emotions while pulling you along the journey with her characters. The reader feels like they are part of the story as they watch the plot evolve. I really enjoyed this one & couldn't put it down. I recommend this for anyone that loves sweet emotional romances with hot sexy guys!

Samantha did it again. What a great start to a new off shoot series from the original Shaughnessy series. Matt Reed is running away from bad reviews. Vivienne is running away from memories of Matt Reed. When Matt gets an invite from his best friend Aaron to hide out at his house back in their hometown Vivienne is brought back into his life. After some hard feelings by Vivienne because of the past, Matt finally breaks through to start a friendship. Things develop quickly from there. As Matt is getting back to his life and coming out of hiding little by little with the help of Vivienne things seems to be going smoothly. Just wait until Aaron returns from traveling for his job, Matt meets up with Riley and plays with him and Matt meets up with his estranged father to see if these two can make it for the long haul. I hope Aaron will get his own book and can't wait to find out about Dylan and Julian.

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for my review. Matt Reid is a rock star in hiding. After a humiliating turn on Broadway during a break from the road, he needs to lay low and hope the negative press dies down. While staying at a friend's house he runs into his friend's sister Vivienne, a girl with whom he shared a passionate kiss years ago and then promptly forgot. Vivienne, humiliated by the fact that Matt didn't remember her is at times embarrassed and angry. Will they ever find a way to put their past behind them? This was the beginning of a new series, and I think readers will really like it.

This is the first book in the new Shaughnessy Brothers spin off series and it is fantastic!! This series surrounds the members of Riley Shaughnessy's band. This is Matt Reed's story and it is jam packed with all the emotion I've come to expect from a Samantha Chase story. Matt has put all he has into a Broadway show that flops right out of the gate. To control the media blow back for the band Matt returns to his hometown. A place no one would ever think to look for him. Coming face to face with Vivienne Forrester has his world spinning. He's sure the next couple of months will be the ride of his life if she's anywhere near.

An awesome book and one I highly recommend.

Two years ago Vivienne Forrester went to visit Matt Reed at the height of his fame and the height of his drinking. At first, he didn't even recognize the gorgeous woman standing in the door as his friend's sister all grown up but then he (having just been chugging from a Jack Daniels' bottle) immediately starts kissing her but it is broken up by the band's manager who thinks that Vivienne is just another groupie.
Time has since passed and Matt's vanity project, a Broadway play fronted by himself, failed miserably in three days and now public opinion is very, very against him. So he goes to hide in his best friend's brand new house. And who's living in the little garden house behind? Vivienne! And Aaron (the friend/brother) is about to head out of town so Vivienne and Matt are forced in to close proximity.
I didn't love this book because there was quite a bit of wallowing. Oh, I don't begrudge Matt's feelings toward his father, it's the more recent stuff. And I didn't really feel the two of them clicking in a forever-after sort of way. I think most regular Chase readers won't be disappointed in this story though.

Three stars
This book comes out February 7

Vivienne and Matt grew up in the same town. Her brother, Aaron, is Matt's best friend. Matt is hiding out at Aaron's house after a public relations nightmare when his Broadway show was a flop. Vivienne is in the process of moving into the guest house on the property. Matt and Vivienne had one encounter 2 years before that left a lasting impression on her, but Matt seems not to remember it. Vivienne acts out and was really quite rude to Matt in the beginning. Matt is clueless as to why and Vivienne does not own up to what happened. She was hard to like at times, an her OCD was not endearing to me. She came off as a brat, snobbish and unbending and not fun and quirky at all. She wanted things her way and could not see past that. She claimed her parents were unfeeling and unbending and she wasn't too far off of that at times. Matt was still in shock at how much he liked Vivienne and his plan to spend more time with her worked like a charm. They both fit well together at times. She helped him with his sloppiness and general lack of discipline and he somewhat helped her with being able to go with the flow at times. Matt had some serious issues that he was still dealing with from childhood and Vivienne pushed too hard at times to get him to confide in her. She showed a real lack of empathy for him at times that left me with a bad taste in my mouth. He didn't want to be ridiculed and put on public display until he was ready and she constantly pushed him for her own selfish reasons. I did like how they interacted during their blog lunches and dinners. I was quite pleased with the way they compromised when a big decision had to be reached. Matt's past came back and pretty much smacked him in the face and he handled it quite well considering the circumstances. Was left wanting more at the end which is always a good thing. I received an ARC from the author via NetGalley for an honest review.

This is a love story where the heroine truly redeems the hero. Even with all his fame Matt is lost and trying to find himself. Vivienne is like a breath of fresh air to Matt's world. Vivienne is the light that guides Matt to what he is missing. I love how their first kiss changed Matt's life. I loved Vivienne she is perfect for Matt. I really hope Aaron gets his own story. I love Samantha's writing style her books have wonderful flow and characterization. You totally feel you are with her characters every step of the way.

This is Matt's story, the co-founder of the rock group Shaughnessy and is going through a personal crisis after his dreams of taken Broadway by storm is a total failure. Vivienne is the litte sister of Matt's best friend Aaron. She is also a strong, independent woman who has had a crush on Matt for awhile. These two are total opposites but when they come together it's fireworks. This book is filled with internal conflict and how those conflicts can help you to grow and want to be a better person. This story tugged at my heart but also gave me a few smiles. I think I found my new.book boyfriend in Matt and I want him to come grill ME a steak!! LOL!!

Matt Reed is in the band Shaughnessy. When the band decides to take a break and go their own way Matt takes on Broadway. When the going gets tough for I'm he runs to the town he ran away from. This makes him think of the past and now he has to deal with his demons.
Vivienne is his best friends sister she has been in love with Matt forever. Her life is in order and she is moving forward.

Matt is in hiding and hanging out with Vivienne. When one thing leads to another where will it go?

I have an affliction for which there is no cure. It leaves me perpetually tongue - tied, emotionally spent yet always yearning for more. I'm addicted to romance. One of the worst offenders for my addiction is Samantha Chase. One More Kiss is a great example of why. She knows what strings to pull and what buttons to push to create poetry. Vivienne and Matt are by no means perfect, but they are perfect for each other. As a series fanatic, I've read my share of spin - offs. Some fell flat and others have soared. One More Kiss blew me away while stealing my heart in the process.
