Holy Batman! This book is so hot it's hotter than sin. This was my first book by Cox, and she was able to pull me in from the beginning and had me turning the page without regard to my kids wanting something. I don't often get to escape from everyday life like this. This alone tells me I just became a new fan of Zara Cox! Now to choose my next read!

I'm kinda at a loss for words after this one.

not because either don't love the books or because either thought it was bad or anything like that.

I just don't know what to say I guess.

I loved the air of mystery both Quinn and Elly had throughout the story and the romance was pretty HOTT and.... interesting I guess haha.

but I also found myself shying away from this book at times too.
I sometimes have a hard time finishing these dom style books. and while this one wasn't BDSM and all that, there were still a few things that I just kinda skipped right over. yeah I'm a traditional kinda girl sometimes haha.

but a majority of that sort of stuff was steamy and pretty sexy. and made for a an entertaining story.

I also really enjoyed the characters in this book. as I said, Quinn is way mysterious. to the point I was ready to flip to the end of the book just to find out what his end game was.
he drew me into his dark shadowed world and I didn't want to come out.

I loved Elly too.
she's the kinda character you want to root for. you want to see her get her HEA after getting dealt such a crap hand. I could feel her emotions and my heart just broke for her and Quinn a few times.

all in all this story was really good. I know my review is slightly depressing. I don't mean it to be especially since I'm giving this one 5 stars and really did enjoy it so much.
but I'm being super honest with what I think I guess.

Two things can happen if I friggin' love a book. The first is that I can devour it in record time. Over night? Who needs sleep! In a couple hours? That's okay, I didn't need to clean today anyway. I will not stop until it is finished. The second is that it'll take me days to finish it because I know it'll suck me into the vortex called book hangover. When it comes to Beautiful Liar, it fell into the latter. Seriously, I could not read more than three or four chapters at a time for fear of that vortex. Oh, my gosh... I friggin' loved this book! The drama. The secrecy. The sex. All of it was amazingly dark. I even joked with a friend that I needed a stiff drink after finishing Beautiful Liar and I wasn't even the one getting screwed. Only, I was a wee bit cruder. If you are a fan of dark billionaire romances, pick this book up. Then you can join me for a drink afterwards.

Lucky isn't as psychologically messed up as him. She has her own issues, and how can anyone blame her? Her own father forced her to prostitute herself and she'd do anything so that her younger sister doesn't have to live the life she's had.

Beautiful Liar is the kind of book that will mind f*ck you at times with the situations the characters go through, their struggles to survive and how they learn to love each other. Zara Cox is a new-to-me author, who's now on my go-to list.

Beautiful Liar is an intense, slightly dark, twisted, erotic read. It's not really a romance, but it is a love story in its own way. Elyse "Lucky" Gilbert is a damaged soul. She was forced into prostitution by her father at the age of 17 and she's only just now escaped him. Quinn "Q" Blackwood is an even more damaged soul. He's a billionaire CEO. He's also an exclusive porn star. They're perfect for each other, in that soul mates kind of way. Damaged loves damaged, misery loves company and all that.

Lucky is offered $1M for an exclusive contract with Q and she takes it. Not because she loves being a prostitute, but because there's one person in her life that she's vowed to protect, one person she loves - her sister Petra. It's for Petra she agrees to the contract, and it's for Petra she whores herself out. What she didn't expect was to have mind blowing sex with Q, the man whose face she never sees, then start an actual relationship with another man, Quinn, and fall in love with him, and eventually fall in love with Q, too. Two different men, one she has amazing sex with, one she has steamy sexual tension with but no actual sex (at least not for most of their relationship), she's feeling guilt for having feelings for two different men, as she's an unknowing pawn in a game being directed by just one man.

Beautiful Liar is set your Kindle on fire hot, but it's not an easy read. Quinn is a depraved man, uses sex, uses people for his own purposes, and cares not a whit about anyone else. Elyse comes in an rocks his world in every way. She's not overly submissive, and she slowly worms her way into his heart and his soul. Yep, that soul mates thing.

If you like your love stories with lots of sexy, two damaged people who find their soul mates, with suspense and moments of darkness thrown in, then I highly suggest you read Beautiful Liar. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

I did NOT see this book coming. I’m so happy it got a title and cover change because the old one didn’t do it justice AT ALL. I’m serious. If you think this is yet another run of the mill smut filled romance read, think again. The writing. The story. It was hauntingly captivating. I’m absolutely blown away and got myself a new author to stalk.
I may be Quinn Blackwood, occasional user of prescribed meds to keep the demons in check, who moonlights as Q, porn star to an exclusive few who pay millions for my work. And I may be an unhinged asshole with serious daddy issues. But no one said I wasn’t a giver.
Q is a man of wealth and power. He’s a man skirting the fine edge of revenge and depravity and he makes no excuses or apologies. Every single move is calculated to achieve his end goal. His revenge. To right a wrong of years past, to punish those responsible, even if he doesn’t survive to bask in the glory of the fallout. It’s not time to make his most calculated move yet. If you’re looking for a new author to check out and a read that’s totally different from the norm, this is the one book I can’t recommend enough. Zara Cox now has a forever fan in this girl. I will gleefully pick up anything this woman writes. No questions asked. She’s a talent that I wish I discovered sooner and am kicking myself for not reading this book when it first hit my radar. But better late then never, if you ask me.

Wooooweeee, what way to kick off a series!!! Beautiful Liar is gritty and raw tale with a heartbreaking backstory, but Zara Cox somehow weaves her magic to create beauty where I was sure there wasn't-- loved that!! There was a lot of amazing suspense and tons of steam, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how deep she went with their storylines!! I read Black Sheep (book 2) prior to Beautiful Liar, but they both can be read as standalones so there was no issues. Beautiful Liar is a 4.5 star read that I thoroughly enjoyed!! If you haven't read either book, there is no time like the present--go 1-click them!!! I am super excited to read what Zara Cox has up her sleeve next!!
