Like all of Lisa Renee Jones stories Inside Out is full of secrets, Intrigue, Mystery and Romance. All Fans of the Author will surely enjoy this book. It is bit on the vanilla side but really good.

I don't think Lisa Renee Jones can write a light book. I found this one a little too similar to Me before you. The twist at the end was one I saw from a mile away and it was one I didn't was to see happening. The events of the book are set before the time Ella's secrets from the Careless Whispers series were revealed, which is why I would recommend reading this book after you have read Demand. If I ever re-read both series, I will begin with this book. For me, this book helped me understand better the events that led to everything that happened in Demand. Unfortunately, I can't say that I enjoyed the book as much as I have enjoyed some of Lisa Renee Jones' other works.

This book was given to me by Netgalley for an honest review. Though it took me awhile to read this book I am glad I did. I loved these characters. They were so easy to fall in love with. I could feel their connection and loved the way the author developed their relationship and the rest of the story. This book was exciting and griping from the beginning. I absolutely loved the way the book was written.

Another Lisa Renee Jones that is worth reading. For real though, her books just keeps getting better

I fell in love with Ella in books 1+2 of the Careless Whispers. Although she plays a minor role in this read, it set the tone for what happened to her in Denial and Demand. And then we get a peek at Surender!!
To me this felt like a prelude story!!
Even though this story can be read as a standalone and it can, you want to enjoy this series.
Here we focus on Skye and Jason. She's Ella's best friend and when Ella convinces Skye to purchase a storage unit, Skye's life turns upside down because of it. The previous owner Stephanie had gone missing but left clues regarding setting up "Jason". A Google search tells Skye who this mysterious man Jason is. But Jason was spying on Skye when he learned she bought the storage unit, and he has his own ideas of who she is. When he meets her, she's not what he expects, and he certainly is not what she expected! Both take a chance on each other knowing they're not sure of who the other person is. How do you trust a stranger?
So, it made me wonder did Ella have anything to do with their meeting? Was this a means to an end? My only disappointment was not getting more back story on Ella.

This authors books totally consume me. So gripping and amazing. I look forward to more of this author. Thank you Netgalley for the Arc

This is a fast paced, quick and easy read. Skye buys a storage unit against her better judgement and ends up with nothing or so it seems. She's quickly pulled into a blackmailing scheme that has her crossing paths with Jason 'Red Bull', a hugely famous poker player. You're hanging on the edges of the pages with each new player see meets waiting for the other shoe to drop of who you can trust and who seems to be in it to take them down. All the while these two are becoming crazy in love with each, that is actually very sweet. Loved the glimpse in Ella's life in this book too. Lots of clues are answered just to bring on more!

This is a great story with passion, risks, and danger. Skye is buying stuff at an auction to help her with some much needed funds. Jason needs answers and hopes the stuff Skye is buying in auction will help him. But Skye doesn't want to give in to his requests. He thinks she might be involved in the mess against him, but decides to believe her and invites her to Vegas with him.

I loved these characters. They were so easy to fall in love with. I could feel their connection and loved the way the author developed their relationship and the rest of the story. This book was exciting and griping from the beginning. I absolutely loved the way the book was written.

Jason is a hot, sexy, intriguing character who is protective and definitely an alpha male. Skye was the perfect leading female character. She fit excellently with Jason. She has had a hard time, so it takes her a bit to trust Jason.

This story is told in Skye's POV. I loved this story. It was as great as everything else from Lisa Renee Jones. She is a great author and does a great job pulling you in and making you feel like you are right there with the characters in the story. The characters feel like they come to life and really come off the pages. You can feel everything happening to the characters. I highly recommend this story. Must read!

I loved the little pieces of Ella's story that were in this book.

Now, with that being said... this book rocked! Jason and Skye are great together, and I loved every part of their story.

You don't need to read the Careless Whispers books in order to read this one as it's a standalone, but c'mon... why wouldn't you want to read the other books?

Mystery, intrigue, and crazy hot chemistry are the foundations for Behind Closed Doors. It strings you along questioning what you know and what you're missing. If you pay attention, you will figure it out before Jason and Skye do.


I'm intrigued. I read Behind Closed Doors as a standalone. I am aware it ties into other works by Ms. Jones. I now have a need to see just how. Who is Ella? Will we see more Buddha? All questions, I'll need to find my own answers to.
